2019 Read-A-Thon #4: Day 1 - Kick Off

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
-to read 3 books, to read every day during the read-a-thon and then to start reading in the morning. I waste so much time in the morning playing online, and then try to fit in reading in the afternoon, which never works because that's when I'm busy doing household/kids stuff. I want to start making the early morning hours my reading time and this read-a-thon will be a good start. This morning I read for a little over an hour and got over 100 pages read!
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I picked up a stack of miscellaneous books from the library yesterday, curious to see how my 'blind picks' turn out :)
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
On my couch, with my throw blanket, lots of coffee and then my cat sitting on my lap, with my Amazon parrot on his perch yelling at the cat, LOL.
4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
Yes! Team Tacky Sweater
5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
-Several Christmas parties, extra church services, my husband being off all next week from work and underfoot..... :)
6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
-Making reading a priority again!

Christmas. Good thing is I have some of the period off work. "Bad" thing is - lots of other social stuff going on.
6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
The team challenge as usual, and the final motivation to finish my challenges without it feeling like a drag.
1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
I know the only challenge I'm likely to complete is the Cover Colors one. Since I've completed it every year, I want to keep up my streak. That means I just need to finish Recursion and Britt-Marie Was Here.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I've loved all of Fredrik Backman's other books so I'm excited to read Britt Marie.
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
Likely on the couch. I'll be traveling starting tomorrow so I'm not sure how much reading I will get done the, unfortunately.
4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
No, not this time.
5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
Just the traveling for the holidays. I'm staying with my mom so there's rarely the alone time we need for reading.
6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
I think just really getting back into the swing of reading and the group before the new year.

I've been meaning to finish The Perfect Nanny for a while now. It's not a difficult or really even a slow read I just kept getting side tracked by other things.
