Children's book where the family is having a bad day, and it spreads from one person to another, until the dog turns everything around

This is a children's book. This book starts off with a dad who is in a bad mood, so he is mean to the mom, so then the mom is mean to the kid. The boy ends up kicking the dog off the bed, but the dog thinks that the boy is playing, and it all reverses and everyone feels better at the end! I remember reading it as a kid, so it was at least published before the 90s / 2000s.
