What series are you reading?
I am so confused! I'm going to have to print out all of Michael Connelly's series in order just to keep it all straight!
Melissa wrote: "I am so confused! I'm going to have to print out all of Michael Connelly's series in order just to keep it all straight!"I had to do the same thing. But, it's just the first two books of the other series... because book 2 of each series IS a Harry Bosch book - they really should have been listed those first book in each series as Harry Bosh because even Terry McCaleb has Harry in it.... granted not a huge part, but he is in it.
I can create a Harry Bosch World series to establish a reading order and will confirm with the author's website. Also, I've updated the series list in the Harry Bosch group series topic to reflect the proper reading order.
Give me a bit to set it up on Goodreads.

Done! Here's the new Harry Bosch World Series List.
I've included all the info on our group read page. I'm going to go ahead and revise our list to formally include these books.

My assumption is based on her response here on GR about more to come.

This thread reminds me that I need to go back to Bosch series!A Darkness More Than Night is next for me. And yes it is better to have read Blood Work first. I finished Fire Touched recently which was a good addition to the series. Currently reading
.
I finished listening to Angels Fall by Nora Roberts and liked it, even though I wasn't crazy about Joyce Bean's narration. Here's my review.
I'm now listening to The Visitor by Amanda Stevens, Graveyard Queen #4.

Meera how did you like The Raven Boys. I have the audiobook but I want to make sure this is a good series before I listen to it. Has anyone else loved this series.
I had a good reading week. First I read
It Happened One Wedding by Julie James. Another fun contemporary romance. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I also read
At the Stroke of Madness by Alex Kava. This series gets better with each book.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Mary wrote: "Meera how did you like The Raven Boys. I have the audiobook but I want to make sure this is a good series before I listen to it. The series has great characters and the plot is complex.
I finished At the Stroke of Madness by Alex Kava, Maggie O'Dell #4 and really enjoyed it, finishing it in one day. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Worth It All by Claudia Connor, The McKinney Brothers #3.

Today I finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J K Rowling (Harry Potter no. 2) and Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews (Kate Daniels no. 2). Both very enjoyable. I will start Where Serpents Sleep by C S Harris (Sebastian St. Cyr no. 4) tonight.
I finished Worth It All by Claudia Connor, The McKinney Brothers #3, and adored it. Here's my review.
I'm now reading The Promise of Rainbows by Ava Miles, Dare River #4.

I just finished The Boy in the Suitcase. It had such low ratings but had the audiobook and it was a group read and was surprised how good it was. It was a really good thriller. 4 stars.Still reading Sworn to Silence and listening to Magic Strikes
I took a short break from Buddy and Group reads, taking in two more of Grace Burrowes' Lost Lords series:
and
.I liked the third book better than the second, which dragged in the middle, imho. Both end too soon; I really dislike the author lopping off what ought to go on another chapter or two for some sense of completion in the reading experience.
Stephanie I listened to the audiobook. The book I hear is really choppy and not written smoothly. If you can get past that you will do fine. The setting is in Denmark and if I remember right the author is from Sweden. The story though is excellent. Its a really good thriller.
I finished Where Serpents Sleep and LOVED it! I am now reading a standalone book Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline.I am listening to Without Fail by Lee Child and so far am loving it! And I am still listening to Angels Fall by Nora Robert.
I'm halfway through
- Quick's books are also quick and entertaining but the Vanza stuff is too similar to the Arcane society theme from her later books and I'm getting tired of it.

There's a Graveyard Queen 4? How did I miss this?
I've always wanted to listen to Angels Fall but never liked the audio sample. It's such a long book I wasn't sure if I'd make it through the audio with a subpar narration. Glad to hear you made it! I might reconsider.

Graveyard Queen #4 was put off for years when the author's husband suddenly died. The Visitor was a long time in being released as a result. I'm loving it so far and the 5th book is scheduled for release later this year.
The narration for Angels Fall wasn't great but it wasn't bad. I've gotten really spoiled by great performances lately. Joyce Bean just doesn't do well with multiple characters.

Jonetta, did you go back and reread the first three Graveyard Queen books or are you finding that you can pick up the storyline well enough in this new book? It's been so long since I've read the books and I'm wondering if I'll be confused but fitting in a reread right now is tough.
Veronica, quite a few of us belonged to Shelfari, another book site where we could create character lists for each book. Shelfari is going away in May so we created a group here on GR to capture those character lists. Reviewing those helped me jump right into the new book and there are short references in the beginning to the last book. I feel perfectly caught up and am not missing a beat in the new book.
If you would like access to this character list group, let me know. We have the lists set up by series. It's especially critical for some of my long running UF and PNR series.

That would be great, Jonetta. Thanks! I don't mind rereading books l like/love but I'm just really crunched for time lately.

Okay, done. Thanks again! What a good idea to make character lists. It's so simple a thing and yet I'd never thought to do that before. Huh.
Shelfari had a software program called X-Ray where it would create a list of characters for every book. It wasn't perfect but it was useful to help assemble the names correctly, especially if you were listening to the book. Each book page had formatted fields where all we need do was add a description. You could actually search on the character names. So, I started copying them over when they recently announced the site's impending shutdown.

Seems they've expanded the character profiles here on GR. I just added descriptions for the main characters of the book I'm currently reading. Here's the link.

That's good to know!
I finished The Hot In The Kitchen series and I recommend it to romance lovers. I've never read Kate Meader before and I really like her writing style. Book 2 is my favorite.

The series and book titles doesn't do them justice. They look light and fluffy but they really weren't. A lot of issues are addressed, bullying, dyslexia, unresolved grief etc. but not in a heavy way but making the story more interesting then just lust at first sight if that makes sense. Her next series is about firefighters. I totally lucked out as the library had them all so this month is a binge read of Kate Meader.
I finished reading Lisa Scottoline's Most Wanted and I was so disappointed. My Review
I am now reading The Bachelor Girl's Guide to Murder.
I'm just about to begin reading the second book in David Baldacci's Camel Club series:
.I liked the first book a lot, so I'm eager to see whether it was a one-hit wonder for me, or if I want to continue with the series.
OMG! I have 35 pages to go in Sworn to SilenceIt just gets better and better. The suspense is killing me right now! It is so gooooood!
