I finished listening to the third and last book in the Grace Valley series Down by the River by Robyn Carr. I am now listening to Out of Control (Book 4) by Suzanne Brockmann.I am still reading Messenger of Truth by Jacqueline Winspear from March.
I'm reading David Baldacci's book:
, and I'm more than halfway through. The suspense mounts, and I'm intrigued by the four guys in "the Camel Club."They all must have tremendous back stories.

No, I didn't. It came up a couple of days ago when I was doing the character copying and I realized I'd forgotten it!
I finished Whatever It Takes by Christy Reece, Grey Justice #2, and enjoyed it. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Wilde at Heart by Tonya Burrows, Wilde Security #3.

I need to catch up with Mercy Thomson as well... I think I dropped off at book 4 or 5... I'll have to see.
I finished Messenger of Truth today. Slightly disappointed with it and I might wait a while before I try the next one to see if I enjoy it more. I will start Waiting for Wednesday tonight.
I finished reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Here's my review.I'm changing my reading plan at the moment and reading Four: A Divergent Story Collection by Veronica Roth.

Aww, sorry to hear that. I'm about 90% done and am liking it for the most part.

Do you recall what gave you trouble at end of book? I don't know how to put my feeling about some loose ends into precise words. If you remember, could you send me a spoiler about this? Thanks.

We chose this as a group read a few years ago on Shelfari and I was able to find the old book discussion. Here's what I said there about the ending:

I loved Career of Evil, too. When she releases the next book, we should do a buddy read. There are a number of us here reading the series. I switched to audio after the first book and am now hooked on that format.

One of my latest reads was the latest Lincoln Rhyme book by Jeffrey Deaver. LOVED IT especially because Amelia Sachs takes front stage this time. And I love imagining her as Angelina Jolie still. Even though they didn't make her a red head in the movie yet Amelia definitely is A RED HEAD. Deaver never lets you forget that. I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the 3rd African Immortals book by Tananarive Due, Blood Colony. I've read a lot of series lately but this one has blown me away like I've not been since reading the Sirantha Jax series last summer by Ann Aguirre. I'm "next" on the hold list according to Overdrive.
Aguirre has several series, I've loved them all. Sirantha and the very loosely related Dred series. They share one character.
Needless to say, Aguirre and Due are two of my newest FAVORITE AUTHORS.
At this very moment, not reading an official series book. I've decided to try and read all of the long listed books for Bailey's Women Prize for Fiction. Formerly known as the Orange Award. I had never noticed before that it's for female authors only. In any case, since I didn't have any of the books at that very moment, I started with one from last year's longlist. Life after Life by Kate Atkinson. It was on my mental "hurry up and read this highly lauded book already" anyways. It's interesting but haven't yet seen what made it so talked about.
I've several of the 2016 longlist nominees now but can't decide which to start with. Gotta libraries with a HUGE Overdrive selection.
Jonetta wrote: "Meera wrote: "I just finished

I've read the first two and enjoyed them but forgot to get around to reading the third one from last year. I think it was a good move on her part to use a psuedonym. Help thoroughly dismiss subconscious comparisons/expectations to Harry Potter.
Meera wrote: "I am definitely up for a buddy read of the next Strike book Jonetta! [spoilers removed]"Me too! I don't know if I'll be able to join a buddy read.... I'll be on hold with the library and who knows when I'll get it. I may buy it, if my library doesn't get the audiobook version. I'll just have to see.
I'm listening to Checkmate by R.L. Matheson, #3 in the Neighbor from Hell series. It's an utter disappointment

What's the problem?
What's the problem?
It's supposed to be funny. It is an enemies to lovers trope. This boy and girl have been rivals and trying to one up each other since elementary school. But now they are business owners, live in houses next to each other and this constant prank pulling seems childish. The hero actually bought a house next to her to annoy her.
It's not funny. I know that deep down he's attracted to her but grown men don't pull hair to get girls attention past high school do they?
Book 2 was so entertaining that I'm like "WTH?" I'm so bummed but I'm soldiering on. I got 7 more hours.
*crying inside

Yeah, I find this author a hit or miss. Liked the first two in the series and this one was a 2 star read for me and #5 was 3. I own #4 Truce and I started it and then couldn't keep going.
Sounds like the author wanted it to be light and entertaining? Maybe she took it too far, probably to get the enemies to lovers. Yeah, I don't know if I would want to read that.
Jonetta wrote: "Charlene wrote: "Jonetta wrote: "Charlene wrote: "I'm reading David Baldacci's book:

It's definitely a 2-star read. I already bought books 3-5:(I will try 4 tomorrow. I need a filler before BDB on April 4
I pulled an all-nighter to read Karin Slaughter's Will Trent #7:
.I couldn't put the book down, and I woke up thinking about some of the characters. I want to see Sara move forward with one particular issue, but I won't give a spoiler because this book is too good to spoil on even the tiniest level.
I am really looking forward to #8 in Will Trent. I'll have plenty of series to read while I'm waiting, but I must say that if #8 were available right now, I'd be finding a way to get my hands on it :)
Yes! Cant wait to read this book this month. We have to wait till July for #8. It just cant come soon enough.:(
Stephanie wrote: "Charlene and Mary, your love of Will Trent series is inspiring!! Going to add to my pile... :D"Stephanie you will love this series if you don't mind gritty suspense thrillers.
I finished Messenger of Truth by Jacqueline Winspear and enjoyed it but found it a but slower. I am now reading another historical mystery, Dressed for Death by Julianna Deering.
Stephanie wrote: "Excellent, Kris!! I think I need to add both of Slaughter's series to my list!! :D"Just some advice...read the Grant series before the Will Trent just because Will Trent series takes off from Grant and will have spoilers. And, please let us know what you think of them when you do get to them :)
I agree with Kris, Stephanie! I read Will Trent first and really wish I didnt. Im happy that you finally decided to read these two series.

I gave it four stars, liked it quite a lot.
I give the cover a *meh* -- not because the model is awful, but because Lucy thinks over and again how much she likes Gus's very hairy chest.
Why do all these guys wax?????
