What series are you reading?
Just finished reading
and enjoyed it very much. It is different from the usual RS with a morally ambiguous hero and a rather naive yet also intelligent and resourceful heroine.
Looking forward to continuing with the series.

I'm reading
to try and catch up on my challenge readings. Just started, but I'm already really liking it.

I agree with Jonetta.
I finished listening to (which is a reread for me) A Great and Terrible Beauty (Book 1) by Libba Bray and still loved!
My Review
I also listened to A New Hope (Book 8) by Robyn Carr. I enjoyed reading Ginger's story and the set up for the next book. As always I LOVED Therese Plummer narration. (Review to come). I am now listening to the next book in the series Wildest Dreams.
I started Where It Hurts (Book 1) by Reed Farrel Coleman last night and finished it this afternoon! I really liked the main character, Gus Murphy. He is like a mix of Bosch, Bolitar and Reacher. There are great secondary characters! Review to come.
I read Kathy Reichs'
, a Tempe Brennan book. This wasn't my favorite so far, but I've already ordered the next one from the library.

Glad to hear it's a good one.... bummed for Eve... she starts out just getting back from 2 weeks of bliss.... Bummed to see it won't last. It's amazing Roarke supports her like he does when it's so dangerous.
I finished He Will be My Ruin by K.A. Tucker and found it really, really good! Here's my review.
I'm now reading The Arrow by Monica McCarty, Highland Guard #9.

He never lives it down.
It took all week but I finally finished
Close to You by Kathryn Shay. I usually like Shay's books, but this one really dragged for me.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I read
Snatched by Karin Slaughter. It's a novella but it is well worth reading. I loved it.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I read
last night and today. It's the 5th Will Trent book, and I did like it. I was not expecting the curve ball that came out of the blue at the end [well, I suppose there were hints but I was not seeing them for what they were].
Here is my review for Shadow Man
This is my favorite thriller.

Finished
and read
. I decided I needed to check out Sawyer Bennetts backlist as I love Her Cold Fury Hockey series so much.
I'm reading another book in the Arapaho series by Margaret Coel:
. This one deals with a search for descendants of Sacajawea and a mysterious missing account of her memoirs.
I'm starting a book that has been on my TRB since July, 2013.... I'm feeling really good about that! The Iron Rose
... book 2 in the series
For the last week I've been listening to
Fragile by Lisa Unger on my commute to work. I'm not sure I like it. I thought it was a suspense story, but I think I'm mistaken. So far it feels like women's fiction. There are a whole bunch of characters, but not much is going on.I'm currently reading
To Marry an Heiress by Lorraine Heath. Great book so far.
I finished The Arrow by Monica McCarty, Highland Guard #9, and liked it, didn't love it. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Barefoot with a Stranger by Roxanne St. Claire, Barefoot Bay Undercover #2.

Should The Barefoot Bay series be read first?

This series stands alone extremely well, at least so far. The only reason I'd recommend reading the Barefoot Bay series first is so you'd get the history of how the resort came to be. You'd get that from the first book in that series. Otherwise, you'd be fine starting with this one.
There's more of a connection to her Guardians Angelino series. Gabe Rossi comes from that series. With that said, I haven't read that series and it's not making a difference.

Veronica, Have you read Heath's Rogues in Texas series? There are many characters from it that appear in the first book of the Daughters of Fortune series. Don't know if it bothers you, but I hate reading out of order and think reading the "Rogues" series first enhances the "Daughters" series.
