What series are you reading?
I am finally reading the Darkyn series,
, I have had several of them in a box in the basement for years! Really enjoying it.
I am home sick so decided to finish some books that I have left in the middle. Series wise I read JD Robb's novella -Wonderment in Death.
I'm reading
The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury for a group challenge, but it's a short book so I will be starting
Judgment in Death by J.D. Robb probably tomorrow.
I finished The Proposal (book 1 The Survivors' Club) by Mary Balogh. This was my first book by her, and I'm an instant fan. There were so many lines in this book that had me swooning. I look forward to the rest of the series. Although, I did learn that there are a few characters in this series (at least in book 1) that first appeared in another series. So the read-in-order reader that I am, I have to start with that series now before I can go on to the next book in this series. All of her series seem to be loosely connected, so I should have researched that a bit better. I never felt lost in this book, but it did spoil the earlier books in the Bedwyn series for me. So that's unfortunate. But I enjoyed this book nonetheless.I'm still trudging along with Second Chance Summer, which is rare for a Jill Shalvis book and me. I'm having a hard time with the heroine and her "issues." They come across forced at times. But I do love the hero. And I'm more interested in the secondary characters' stories, so that says a lot about the heroine...

I had major issues with the heroine in Shalvis' story so I empathize.
Thanks for the heads up on Balogh's series. I have both.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the first book.

and I'm loving it enough to stay up way late and have a big book hangover today."Her historical romances are so much fun.
I finished Second Chance Summer! But now I need a really really good book to make up for it's lacklusterness...
I just finished the third book in Laura Griffin's Tracers series,
, and I have the next one in the series nearby.I also received two more Karin Slaughter books, so I'm spoiled for choice for my next reading adventure.
I am listening to Jackaby (book 1 Jackaby) by William Ritter. I am actually enjoying it more than I expected. It is something my 6th grader could read/listen to, so that's fun too.I am also reading The Fifteenth Minute (book 5 The Ivy Years) by Sarina Bowen and really loving it. The only reasons I've put it down are that I could not keep my eyes open more than a few words at a time last night, and I woke up to two sick littles this morning. I have been scrubbing and spraying Lysol on every surface all day. I'm thinking of disinfectant bombing my house.
I finished reading Before the Storm by Leslie Tentler, a new book that I think she wants to be a series (Rarity Cove). It was beautifully written and even though the plot wasn't unique, the romance was lovely and the climax terrifying. I really enjoyed it (review to come).
I also finished listening to After You by Jojo Moyes, the sequel to Me Before You. It was an interesting story but lacked the magic of the first book. It was also a different narrator, who was good but just didn't capture the Louisa I adored. (Review to come.)
I'm now reading Hanover House by Brenda Novak, Hanover House Chronicles #1, and listening to A Winter Wedding, also by Novak, Whiskey Creek #9. This is my first time listening to the series.

I read
, which was disappointing and I won't be continuing with the series. I'm halfway through
. It's good but dense reading and the pacing build slowly. I love Rowling's insights into the publishing world though :0)

I think that's why I'm going to listen to Silkworm.

I am also still reading Edge of Eternity. It is an amazing book but it's just so big! A lot to take in.
This week I read
The Dead Will Tell by Linda Castillo. Another very good book in her Kate Burkholder series. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I finished
Mission: Irresistible (A Year of Loving Dangerously) by Sharon Sala. Sala is a hit and miss author for me. I thought this one was pretty good. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

"That sounds great, Jonetta!
I finished Jackaby (book 1 Jackaby) by William Ritter and I really enjoyed it. The narration was very good, and I liked the story. It's like an American Holmes in the paranormal world.I also finished The Fifteenth Minute (book 5 The Ivy Years) by Sarina Bowen and I loved it. Great addition to the series.
I am now listening to Six of Crows (book 1 Six of Crows) by Leigh Bardugo and enjoying the story and multiple narrators. I like being back in the world of the Grisha.
I'm currently on the road for work. Today I listened to
Bitter Sweet by LaVyrle Spencer. The heroine is falling in love with a married man she dated 20+ years ago.I,m reading
The Charade by Laura Lee Guhrke. It's set during the Revolutionary war. It's nice to have a different setting.
I finished Hanover House by Brenda Novak, prequel for the Hanover House Chronicles. It was creepy and thrilling. Here's my review.
Staying with creepy, I'm now reading I Can See You by Karen Rose, the 10th book in her Romantic Suspense series.

Way to go, Robin.
I'm waiting for the next book in this series to be released.
I'm continuing with Karin Slaughter's Grant County series,
,which I read into the wee hours last night, thereby missing some crucial points that I need to retrieve before moving on.
I was almost giddy when I found Cold-Hearted Rake by Lisa Klepyas on my Kindle last night. I cannot wait to start this later tonight. Kleypas' historical romance is in a league of its own. I'm realizing my expectations are a little high, let's hope that's not a bad thing.

Finshed
and wasn't impressed really I wanted to know what was happening from Kate's perspective.I'm reading
and liking it so far it is already funny.
Jonetta wrote: "I've seen nothing but high ratings for this book, Monica."I have too, Jonetta. Crossing my fingers. I didn't get to start it last night. I took my boys on an impromptu movie date and we didn't get home until late. So I'll probably be starting tomorrow or Friday, I've got three Halloween costumes to finish up :/
I finished A Winter Wedding by Brenda Novak, Whiskey Creek #9, and loved it! This one may be my favorite of all. Here's my review.
I'm now listening to Life or Death by Michael Robotham. It's not part of a series.

I started the next Karin Slaughter Grant County book,
.The verb that comes to mind so far is "fraught...."
