This was good. It wasn't great. I was a bit put off by the fact that they fell into the relationship so quickly, but I loved Jace and Colt so much that I got over that pretty quickly. :) I'm really interested in seeing where the investigation takes Mitch, so I'm going to have to read the next book.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this! What a great start to a series. The story was fantastic, with great world-building and wonderfully flawed main characters. And the heat between Nevada and Mad Rogan, nearly singed my ears off.
I listened to this on audio and the narrator was fantastic. She's the same one for the Kate Daniels Series. I was nervous about that at first, but she did a fantastic job so I forgot about the other series while I was immersed in magical Houston.
I absolutely can not wait for this series to continue. The Gordons have another hit series on their hands for sure!

Okay, I'm stumped now. Basically I loved each book. It came down to the theme and how it relates to the romance aspect of the story. Though each ranked a 5 for theme, I had to dig down deep to think about where my enjoyment from the story actually came from. Vasic from Shield of Winterwas awesome. I loved him and had waited a long time to read his story. Though I liked the female character Ivy, I didn't like her as much as both the MCs in Fish and Ghosts. Wolf and Tristan's romance was more enjoyable to read overall than Vasic and Ivy's.

While I enjoyed both, Poison Promise was just slightly not as enjoyable a read for me as With Or Without Him was.

F2L / E2L and LGBT seems a pretty good line up to me if that's how it ends up.
