#100 I agree this is a series but... how do you number alternative endings in a series order?

Alex | 2736 comments #101 Done, though I saw the author referring to the books as the Yellow Crocus group, so I named it Yellow Crocus: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2909...
#102 Half-done. Series is here: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2909...
How does the 3rd book connect to the other 2?
#103 Skipped. Is there an official order I could follow to create such a series?

Alex | 2736 comments #108 Done. Series here: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2909...
#109 Seems like a series, I believe there are recurring characters, but there's a note from the author on the books that they are not a series and not to make them into one, so please confirm that they do in fact have recurring characters.

#100 I agree this is a series but... how do you number alternative endings in a series order?

Not numbering the two alternates like happens in a lot of other series? (I can't think of an example right now sorry)

#102 Half-done. Series is here: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2909...
How does the 3rd book connect to the other 2?

The FMC of book 3 is a substantial character in book 2.

#103 Skipped. Is there an official order I could follow to create such a series?

They simply follow each other directly; Series 1 which I read in 2018 happens a bit longer ago, series 2 has a series-long plot that leads directly into series 3. I've read both of them this year so am intimately engaged with them!

#109 Seems like a series, I believe there are recurring characters, but there's a note from the author on the books that they are not a series and not to make them into one, so please confirm that they do in fact have recurring characters.

Sometimes authors say they are standalones even if they are in the same world with connected characters, so as not to alienate readers who don't like to read a whole series. See this review of the other one in the same world with crossover characters, which also seems to show the orde, including a forth one https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Sorry to be a pain, but this thread has been on ice for two months, are you able to have a pop at it? TIA

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments I don't understand how so many books are added to GR so wrong. These are all on KU with either blurb or cover or both missing along with some other detail.

book 1 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
book 2 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
book 3 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Alex | 2736 comments #125 Most of these get imported by bots with sometimes more, sometimes less complete data. Fixed this and also created the series, though adjusted numbering to GR standards.

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments Ah, ok. But if the bots are not doing a proper jobs surely they should be adjusted so that they do, or should not be used until they do? (Partly rhetorical question there...)

It's also a shame about some of those 'GR standards' because all the entries in a series that includes short stories and novellas don't show up under the 'Other books in the series' tag view on the book page. You have to click the series link to see them all. Highly frustrating as many series' include multiple shorter works. Again, sorry to rant at you.

This one has been looked at now, so I'm sure I have you to thank for that 🤗.

Well, it's a balance between getting a lot of messy data and getting no data, I assume. As for the standards, they exist to standardise the information, but there are definitely cases where it works better than others.

kittykat wrote: "This one has been looked at now, so I'm sure I have you to thank for that 🤗."

Nope, definitely not, it's just how things work. A request might languish for a while until someone comes across it, and that goes even more for long request threads, where a bigger time investment is necessary.

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments Thx for your response.

I appreciate that, and maybe something else brought attention to it, but that particular thread, as well as others, had been ignored totally for two months since I raised a couple of complaints on it, in a way that none had been before I started my current system and I highly doubt that was co-incidental. It only got that long because it was ignored for so long, mostly they get dealt with on a regular basis as you have been doing and letting me know.

Another new series about the members of a band called Unrequited that needs a link please,
book 1 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
book 2 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments Thx.

Now this one looks like it could become messy and it seems that the series is actually called Kiss/Kill

part 1 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
part 2 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
part 3 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

bind up/series prequel/book 00 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... (as an overall series 'prequel' it doesn't seem to have it's own title)

book 0.5 (it seems) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Can you also correct the titles that are currently all in caps please.

Alex | 2736 comments #133 Done. Series here: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2923...

Marked prequel bind-up as book 0 and Body Heart Soul as book 1 (since they are both novella length). Parts were marked 0A-C.

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments Thx

This one too please

book 1 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

book 2 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... plus it's another KU missing the blub and details

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments Thx

The three novellas by the same author are about a group of BFF's. https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=Ho.... The series premise is "Meet all of Zola’s closest friends as they describe their hottest holiday hookups.".

Book 1 Slow News Day
Book 2 Fool In Love
Book 3 Delay.
There is a book 4 to come.

https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=+A...

https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=+W...

https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=+D...

And this bind up includes the whole of both the second and third series above. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 2510 comments #103/116/118 is still O/S. I noticed because I also have another similar one to add the request for.

#103 Can you create a 'universe' series (like https://www.goodreads.com/series/2168... and https://www.goodreads.com/series/1232...) for these please (same world and MANY character crossovers)

series 1 https://www.goodreads.com/series/4118...
series 2 https://www.goodreads.com/series/4507...
series 3 https://www.goodreads.com/series/2100..."
