HF: Has there ever been a bad version of death/ Grim Reaper?

The Grim Reaper has to be the most consistently great character in the history of fiction. I can’t think of a bad version of him even though he’s been around in many different forms for thousands of years. The worst I can think of is Patrick Stewart’s version in Castlevania Lords of Shadows, he’s just boring and a waste of potential.

There was that really boring movie called Meet Joe Black, starring Brad Pitt as an insipid pretty-boy version of Death.
