Oh - that is awesome. I read the first book in the trilogy but still need to read #2 before I get to this one. I may never get to it, but who knows. I added the title to my spreadsheet.
Cherie wrote: "Did you like Egg & Spoon? I got burned out on the author...Congratulations on finishing Badge 2!"
Thanks, Cherie!
I found it too cutie-pie, Honeybun. There were too many ah-ha moments that begged for the reader to stop and admire his cute turn of phrases.

Thanks Sarah. Badge 3 is a little daunting. I try to plug everything I read into the challenge and I'm afraid I might read a bunch of books before I complete 5 cards.
You still have more than half the year left though. To be honest , I'm feeling daunted by badge 2. I didn't expect to get that far. But its possible.I'm getting behind on Stephen King's books now. They are always so expensive when they come out and seem to hold their value. The Institute hasn't been reduced at all. And the ebook library never seems to have any King books weirdly.
I've been using my credits on Audible to get King's books. The price for a credit is always the same. The ebooks are more expensive.
That is a good idea. I'm trying really hard though to keep audible for non fiction stuff. I already have a tonne of books to read on my kindle, I don't want the same to happen on audible too.

You're flying Janice! I missed that you got badge 2 - late congrats - and you well on your way to no 3. Go you 💃💃💃
Thanks Margo. I have lots of books allocated to the third badge, but they are scattered over a whack of cards. There are only 3 or 4 cards that show any promise. This is a tougher way of doing the challenge. Last year, any book read counted. This year, you have to fill up cards. I shall certainly apply that strategy next year too. Makes it a challenge.
I agree regarding the challenge of collecting for badges 3 onward. But, it does seem awkward in the reporting, badge 3-book 4 may wind up being badge 4-book 6, only to later become badge 5-book 12 🤪 I don’t envy you trying to keep track of this mess as we move along lol
It's not bad. Everything read gets counted as badge 3. When 5 cards are filled, those not included in those cards gets moved to badge 4. It's easier than trying to track badges 3, 4 and 5 simultaneously.
I can see that it's eas8er than having us track badges 3, 4, 5 at the same time but I would have bet you'd have opted to return to the simpler method next year. I agree with Jenn thet this way is much more interesting for the participants but I wonder if you will change your mind once we all start moving things at roughly the same time? I'm trying to imagine the knots we will end up up in - well, me anyway 😂
It's easy. I filter the report so I have Margo (example), then Badge 3. (No other badge comes up - just badge 3). I highlight the cells with green for the completed badges. Then I just change the uncoloured 3's to a 4. Bingo! Bango! Done!
Haha, I just read the last two post and was just starting to figure out the “if” equations to make it flow lol 😂
I let my son figure out all the ifs. :) (view spoiler)
Actually the conditional formulas are only for the task criteria: If Yay, then task is… If Nay, then task is....., If blank, then leave blank. The rest are just lists that can be filtered to pretty much whatever I want.

This book is so different from the Wayward Pines trilogy, it's hard to realize they were written by the same author. This one is non-stop violence.
