Please need help with name of book!

I have been trying to search for the title of this book for ages but no such luck.

The summary is really jumpled but I hope someone will help and know what I'm talking about lol.

The woman goes on a boat and and then the captain is a drunk and has major issues. They are lost at sea or an Island for while. I think it's either 2 or a trilogy series.

PLEASE HELP!!

I am looking for a book I read and can't remember the title. The heroine has a traumatic background and is therapy. She meets a guy and later finds out her therapist is the guys mom while she is at their house.. Any ideas?
