**Summer Reading Challenge - 1/12/14-28/2/15**

I haven't seen the movie. Probably won't if you didn't like it... And I hated the book. Thanks for the heads up :)

#7 NR

I have also selected my book for #6 Brenda's choice

I have also completed the friends top 5 of 2014 book. I chose A Man Called Ove 5★ wow.... I didn't expect to love it but I did. I loved Ove's curmudgeonly ways right from page 1, can't wait for further little gems from this author in the future.
I am down to my last 2 books for this challenge, I hope to knock them off before the end of January so I can focus on the February challenge. I have saved the best 2 for last
The literature map book A Madness of Angels and the last one which was favourite genre Snow Like Ashes. I am doing the lit map first.... Can't wait....

Literature Map: (Kimberley Freeman - C B Kline)

Favourite Genre: (Historical Fiction)

Only two more to go:
Volcano Street and The Casual Vacancy

Spell It Out!

I have heard mixed reviews on that one, I will be very interested in your review when you are done.

The story is different but the names of the characters are confusing as they are very similar. I do not think I will ever read it again and my star rating will only be 2 1/2 stars.

#5. Literature Map - Liane Moriarty - Gillian Flynn = Gone Girl
My review:

Ahh what a shame, your thoughts on the many characters and keeping them straight seems to be a common complaint. This will remain on my TBR list though, I long to be a black sheep!

Yay, I'm looking forward to reading that one :-)

I enjoyed both these books, Orphan Train and An Indecent Obsession
I found the Orphan Train very absorbing and just had to keep reading. It is set in two different times, the present and early 19th century. The history was very interesting and well written. There is a lot in this book and I really enjoyed it.
An Indecent Obsession is a completely different style of book. I enjoy reading Colleen McCullough books. I find they take a little effort but is very rewarding. I like the way that her characters evolve through the book. This is a very stimulating read with much to think about.

Here you go:) https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
To do that, after you hit "save", you go to the box where it'll say "Odette's reviews > Orphan Train (at the top) Your review will be in that box.
At the very top of the page, above GOODREADS "home" "my books" etc, you'll see a https:// etc link. Highlight the whole link, right click to copy, then come here (or wherever you want to put it) and right click again in the comment box, and "paste". Then you'll have it:)
Hope that made sense:)

This book was extremely creepy. Loved it!

Oh that is too bad - was a top read for me - brillient pice of work IMHO. Although if you read my review ( https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ) you will see that I actually agree with some of the things you disliked - but those reasons are why I liked it, funny how we can al read the same book and get different things from it :)
BUT
The movie was a nightmare - hated it with a passion!!!
