Whitney Jenkins | 4 comments Like the title says a soldier finds a woman in a nunnery and helps her to escape then over the course of the book, watches as she manipulates men for power. Eventually she becomes some sort of royalty. I read it like 5 years ago and it's from the soldiers point of view if I remember correctly.

Jo Andrews | 55 comments In what time period is it set? Is the soldier fighting in a specific historical war or a fictional war? Any idea what the soldier or the woman were doing in a nunnery?

I'm copying and pasting all pertinent info from the duplicate thread below. Please do not start duplicate threads!

I read it three years ago but I do not know when it was published. It is Adult and real world kindgom. I think the soldier is American and the woman is Russian. The book's perspective is from the soldier's point of view and I'd say it's around world war 1. Not sure about that though

Books that have been ruled out:
Forever Amber
The Marsh King's Daughter
The Three Musketeers
