the genres are noted. If you want to verify that the cover is okay for showing a thumb, you need to ask in the specific help thread for that task - this thread is only for "locking in" genres.

You absolutely DO NOT need to get everything verified. Good examples of books that do not need pre-approval or verification are those with words in the title, author initials, locations that are discussed in the description of the book, etc. The help threads are there for checking on books that are questionable.

Most genres will be fine as well - the problems normally come up with books that only have a few ratings or with genres that appear at the bottom on the genre list. However, if you are concerned that the genre might disappear from the main page, you can have it verified here or in the individual task thread, and then you won't have to worry about it.
