Pia I think I found a book that fits for the one book option.
Can you verify if it's ok, please?

It's Book # 1 of the Alex Soong series and the publishing date is 6 March 2014

Melanie, your book is not identified as a series on Goodreads. It appears in the title in parentheses, but not in the series field. A librarian can add the series and correct the records, then it would work. If you don't have access, you can request help in anyone with librarian status

According to the GR record that book was first published January 1, 2014, before the March 1, 2014 date necessary for the task. If you have more information a GR librarian might be able to correct the record

This is an issue that has been raised in the Goodreads Discussions and questions group. Apparently there is some algorithm in place that is "correcting" all originally published dates to Jan 1 of the applicable year. Librarians have reported that they have corrected some of these ... only to have them revert to Jan 1 again the next time there is a data update.

message 33: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 8947 comments i think part of it, there is a date published and if you scroll down further there is an original date published - if that doesn't get filled it, it will automatically revert

The GR version I linked to says the hardcover was published May 6, 2014. So does Amazon. Where are you seeing Jan. 1 (which is often used as a date placeholder)?

message 35: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 8947 comments It's been fixed now - but before there was grey text next to the date you cited that said Jan 1

That would work for book 1 for the 2 book option

message 44: by BellaGBear (last edited Feb 10, 2015 06:42AM) (new)

BellaGBear | 261 comments Hey,

How would it work if you want to read a graphic novel for the book 2 option? Becuase I assumed the first book in a series then would be volume 1, but that got denied.

And anyhow volume 1 is in essentially book 1 of a series (#1) put together with other 'books' of the series, which I also would need to read to land the minimun 100 pages mark. So would a combination of book 1 with others not be allowed to read sufficient pages?
Otherwise it would be impossible to read a graphic novel for this task, despite them being almost always extensive series.
