Hello guys,

So it has been a while, due to lack of interest in most YA subjects, and I was wondering if there is anything good out there, that would be an interesting, 300+ page read. Does anybody personally have any good comedy books or something that takes place in Europe (preferably fiction).

Also, yes, I did read TFIOS, allll of the hunger games, currently reading the last "selection" book series.

For comedy, I would read the Paranormalcy trilogy. Super funny and also really good.

The books I recommended that are by Rick Riordan are classified as "middle grade fantasy" but they are really good with lots of humour! I think they are great for all ages to read. If you are considering reading the Heroes of Olympus series, you should read the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series first.

I definitely recommend Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days by Susan Ee) Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee

For something a little different since you say you're burnt out of most YA subjects:

His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman
Watership Down by Richard Adams
The Earthsea series by Ursula K. Le Guin
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
The Giver by Lois Lowry
The Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett. These are his YA Discworld books. And if you're looking for witty and funny, you can't do better than Terry Pratchett! He's AMAZING. If you like these books, then I strongly recommend checking out the rest of his adult Discworld books (which honestly aren't a big leap away from YA).

Also, if you find yourself tired of reading YA, there's no harm in branching out into general fiction!

For example, the subject matter of Stephen King's (writing under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman) The Long Walk is actually pretty close to that of the Hunger Games.

The Iron Fey - Julie Kagawa
Vampire Academy - Richelle Mead
Bloodlines - Richelle Mead
Tiger's Curse - Colleen Houck
Mortal Instruments - Cassandra Clare
Infernal Devices - Cassandra Clare
Penryn & the End of Days - Susan Ee

I hear these are great reads:
Throne of Glass - Sarah Maas
Lunar Chronicles - Marissa Meyer
Divergent - Veronica Roth
Daughter of Smoke & Bone - Laini Taylor
