Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments December BOM (Book of the month) Nomination

As we are at the end of the year I thought it only fitting to ask WYA members to please nominate your favorite book in 2014.

The Guidelines
1. Each member can nominate one book.
2. Please restrict your nomination to UF or PNR genre
3. If you nominate a book that is not the first in a series please ensure it can stand on its own
4. Please give both the title and author when suggesting or use the link so I can make sure the correct book is chosen.
5. If you are an author you cannot nominate your own book.
6. Please check the BOM History to make sure you don't pick a book that has already been featured

Nominations will go until November 15

Nominations
Nice Dragons Finish Last (Heartstrikers, #1) by Rachel Aaron Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo Visions (Cainsville, #2) by Kelley Armstrong Tinker

Miriam, have you read this one yet? Is there romance or is it straight UF? It looks good either way, the whole series does actually.

On the page for Visions, someone asked if you needed to read the first book in the series, Omens, and two different readers responded with yes. They look interesting, but I do hate starting a series in the middle.

I've read it and enjoyed it a lot. A great world and the MC is very intriguing.

Yes, I've read all the serie three times already. As I write in my review I have no idea how this serie escaped me before, it seems like now I cannot think of much else.
It's great UF and I personally love the romance that is present a lot even if it's not the main storyline.

Pat Patterson | 3 comments Most of these nominations are just great! But could we possible add YA to the disqualification list? YA is taking over UF and PR. It's getting harder all the time to find an adult adventure.

First kiss? Problems with parents/clan? Too many restrictions from those meanie elders? Running/stolen away from home? Mooning over that hottie that seems to never notice you but in reality is watching all the time?

C'mon. Enough already with the teen angst. Frankly, I didn't have those issues then and I certainly don't want to read about them now.

LOL I know exactly what you mean but while generally I am not a fan of YA we do have a lot of members who enjoy them and ironically I do not think we have had a YA BOM in quite some time.So please nominate and vote :-)

LOL Glad I'm not the only one who didn't have those issues growing up, and I don't want to read about them either Pat :)
