in Iced there was a type of unseelie, the Hoar Frost King, that kept icing scenes where there was a specific sound/music. There's also a fire world IFP tethered in place at the abbey. Dani pushes Ryodan to cut the chord tethering the fire world IFP in place and the the Hoar Frost King gets trapped inside the IFP. They all freeze frame around it until it explodes and it seems as though the HFK is defeated

HOLY CRAP. Shit just got real. Lol, isn't it ironic that we were all just talking about how stupid Mac was. Next second, classic example of Mac being a retard. Isn't she supposedly Dani's best friend? She should understand not to treat Dani like an animal, and try to cage her down. Like wtf. OMG. DANI.

I feel like Dani's life is a crap magnet. Haha. Dani was right, the shit always hits the fan.The shit in her life is constantly hitting the fan. Fucking hell, when she was all "i've never been happy" and she leaps into the mirror expecting a grand adventurer. :( (That shit is too sad to comment on)

And you JUST KNOW that Dani's is not going to be able to choose how she loses her vcard. It'll be like the final cherry on top of her greek tragedy of a life.

Haha, I know. What the hell Barrons, too busy checking out Mac's breasts...

Oh I know, I have no idea how I will get through an entire book of Mac justifying her stupidity and her stupid actions. Ughhhh. God, Dani makes my heart ache. I want to snuggle her into my bosom and tell her it'll be okay. :(
It reminds me of shadowfever. When Barrons asked if Mac was ready to kill Dani at 14. She's had all her chances, and she fucked up. Be her judge jury and executioner. Like dayummm. This kid. Imagine how worthless she must think she is, if she thinks no one will even bury her? That's some deep rooted emotional trauma right there.

HAHA. I really hope that's the way her Vcard is lost. But knowing what we know of Dani's life. I bet that she'll have either already lost it due to her mum's boyfriends, or B) will lose it in some other dubious and traumatic manner.

I bet Ryo will get mad at Dani no matter what. Just the fact that she'd gone will make him lash out. Also, I bet Mac will give Ryo some bullshit excuse. And be all 'omg she ran away-we tried to stop her'. Without failing to mention she was running away from Mac the fucking spaz.

Right? But Ryodan knows about their broken friendship, knows what Dani did to Alina and that she doesn't want to face Mac. Remember the scene with Rainey Lane? when Ryodan says Mac's on her way he knows Dani won't stick around for it. He better not give her that much shit! yeah she was reckless but dude!

I can't see KMM including the Observer and never using it in the story, gah. What will Ryodan do to bring her back? lock her in a cage and starve her to jog her memory back? show her pictures of her dead mom? remind her of what Rowena did to her? it's all around a terrible concept!

Yeah it all sounds way too much like Barrons/Mac priya.
If she does go all observer, I'd want her to ultimately break free from observer mode on her own. That would be way more awesome than Ryo playing nurse nightingale.

I'm pretty sure it was the fae elixir of life that Cruce gave to her that he sensed.

I guess the observer was Dani's "coping mechanism" to being kept in a cage. It's how she survived without going mad

Do you think she was raped as the 'observer'? She says when she's turning into her observer that 'she's not a virgin'. At first I thought it was just referring her to not being Dani, but it seems way fishy. Considering that Dani's observer POV gets really shady and facts start mixing together. And that Rowena found her in a cage when she was 5. And said she was totally broken into unusable pieces or something, leads me to believe she really did get raped.

message 1738: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 486 comments What if Rowena told Dani's evil piece of trash mom to lock Dani in a cage, because she wanted to break her early on? Or maybe even mind manipulated her mother. I mean she wanted to give Mac back to the princes, or kill her when she couldn't control her. Though it's a different situation.

chloe (inferuntbellum) | 330 comments WHEW! finally, i just finished this thread! yall have been making me CRACK UP and think and wonder and get really really excited for Burned!!!

so, my two cents: i feel like rowena found dani, let her mom break her for a few more years (by being the fecking idiot she was), and then had dani kill her mom in 'observer' mode - since that's who rowena supposedly was really after.
and then dani 'forgot' and got back in the cage and then rowena 'found' her - even though she'd known about her all along.
ALSO - i don't think dani was raped, bc she specifically says - when ryodan makes a comment about her mom's boyfriends playing with her - "NOT in that way. never that way. i'm a virgin and im proud of it" and i dont think kmm would have said that if it weren't true. it just seemed too honest.
i truly, genuinely believe she'll get that mind-blowing first time she's dreamed of. that'll be the part of the "love" she's supposed to get a lot of in this series :)

Hey Chloe: I'm not that certain Dani is a virgin. She says in Iced that her observer is not virgin becuase she doesn't exist. I don't know what the last part means, but I think as it is said in the same sentence with the observer not thinking Dancer is hot, and she doesn't feel, it could be true that Dani was sexually abused as a child.

Wonder how that will go along with some of the readers if it's true.

Ok peeps, last day before the release, no more spoilers for me (if there are any left at all) HAha..

Yeah this is the exact reason why I think she really may have been sexually abused. She said that her observer wasn't a virgin. Like... maybe she's blocking the memories. Also, since she keeps making a point about how she's gonna at least have control over how she loses her vcard- I feel like if she figures out that she was 'sexually abused before' it'll really send her off the deep edge. It'll be the last straw so to speak. If you know what i mean...

that actually makes a lot more sense!!! the observer doesn't exist...yet. maybe she'll "make" it exist and then finally apply that to her and thus, if the 'observer' was sexually abused then technically, so was she.
i dont see that ending well.
and i dont see how ryodan or mac would deal with that either.
i just wonder how much darkness dani's going to have to endure before she can finally get that amazing love and light she's been promised...

I know right, I've just started assuming that anything that can go wrong in Dani's life. Will. (Lol, I think this a quote from iced-how fitting)

Seriously though, if Dani doesn't fucking get the best HEA ever-in-the-history-of-HEA's. I will complain. She's been through too much crap.

She said that the observer makes her forget about the observer. So anything that happens while the observer is in charge, we have no clue about.

Fresiako: I also hope she gets the best HEA ever written.

Being the psycotic/obsessed fan I am, I have read some fanfiction on Dani/Ryodan. It wasn't good, but I think it was called something about Dani losing her virginity six times.

anyway.. the author of the fanfiction wrote six (or something) possibilities for Dani's love interest from the male characters we know of. And the funny thing was that none of them fit quite as well as the story with Ryodan.

I don't think that Ryodan will ever sit back and accept Dani having a relationship with anyone but himself.
