Cheryl (cherylllr) Imagine Me Gone by Adam Haslett explores mental health and love and loyalty and, I assume, medical care issues, from a fictional perspective. It may well be an interesting complement to our other read this month, Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End

We'll be discussing it on Saturday, November 23, at 2 pm, the week *before* Thanksgiving weekend.

Remember that current group reads are available at the library now and you can borrow them for the full term w/out worries about renewals; just make sure your staff member confirms the due date before you leave.

Cheryl (cherylllr) DNF p. 76.

Too painful. I recommend something out of the Listopia I created instead. To oversimplify, it might have been ok that Margaret married John, but to have children together when they both know that he's so unstable is tantamount to child abuse and I do not read on that subject.

Ralph McEwen | 22 comments I finished the book and that should count. This is a example of why I mostly read Science Fiction and Adventure. The authors did a good job of changing the voice between character chapters. But this is a pretty dark tale.

Cheryl (cherylllr) Thanks for the report - I'm glad I didn't continue!
Good for you for trying something different, though. :)
