The cover uploaded originally had no border and didn't look correct. I have since uploaded a better one. Is it possible to change the one in 'more photos' to be the default image? Many thanks.

I see that your book hasn't been published yet. Have you distributed any advanced reader copies, either ebook or physical format, with the old, borderless cover?

You'll see that the e-book has a border, it's only the print version that doesn't.

I have not distributed the print version at all yet.

Ok, thanks for the clarification!

First thing to note: I swapped out the covers on the print edition, so now it has a black border.

Second thing to note: as primary author, you have the ability to set the default edition to whichever cover you'd like. Right now, the default edition (the one that appears on your profile) is the kindle edition with the grey border. If you'd like to change that (now or in the future), just follow these instructions:

Please note that Goodreads librarians can't set the default edition for you, only authors with claimed profiles.

Third thing to note: the 'more photos' section is explicitly NOT a place for alternate covers. I have deleted the bordered cover from that section.

Were you planning on uploading a new cover with a black border to Amazon for the kindle edition as well? Right now, the cover here (and on Amazon) has a partial grey border.

#14 - You can create a new ACE (Alternate Cover Edition) by clicking on the "add a new edition" link on the book page. You would not enter the ISBN/ASIN, since it needs to stay attached to the original edition.

You can then set the default edition people will see.

#16/19/20 - Since you stated it has never been given out with that cover, I have removed the cover. You should be able to upload the new cover now.
