MN (mnfife) I read Jules Verne, Around the World in 80 Days (1873) - a wonderful romp, made all the more delightful by the extraordinary choices of detail Verne included in the interests of educating the younger reader.

Angie | 65 comments 1. What are you reading for this category? The X-Files: Earth Children are Weird

2. What year was this book published? 2017

3. Do you read more contemporary or more classic books? I read a mix of both. I had intended to read a doorstopper classic for this, but this year has been terrible in terms of reading. I copped out and read this to catch up a little.

I HATE this prompt. I had to look up which years were prime numbers and then look at books I had to see when they were published. That doesn't interest me at all! I ended up using Astrophysics for People in a Hurry from 2017. I read a lot of classics, both 19th century and 20th century. And a lot of contemporary books I like are set in earlier eras.

I read some of everything, older and newer fiction and nonfiction, contemporary and classics. I did a #20classicsin2020 challenge this year; I'm running behind but I'm almost done. (I'll use some quick kids classics over Christmas break if I haven't hit 20 yet!)
