ABANDONED. YA Fantasy of a child led by a Cat into a world of wizards

The story is similar to May Bird, but not quite. The cat's name was Gleb or something like that, and it leads the main character, a child into another world with wizards and castles. In the journey we learn that her parents had been great wizards, but were killed by the current ruler/king who wants to control all worlds, including the one she came from. I think it was released about 5 yrs ago.
