Suzanne | 349 comments 1. What are you reading for this category?
Gilead by Marilynne Robinson

2. Do you often read books in a series?
Yes. I read numerous series in both mystery and romance. I had this book on my to-be-read shelf for a long time and noticed that it was actually part of a series when I was planning my challenge.

3. Are you planning on reading the next books in this series? Why or Why not?
Each of the three books in this series covers the same time period from the perspective of a different character. I loved this book and immediately read the next in the series, Home, but I didn't enjoy that one as much. I may eventually read the third one, Lila.

Jana | 73 comments I read The Last Dance. It was good pandemic reading. Set in space in the future... Very enjoyable and I do intend to read the next book at some point.

I read Strange Planet by Nathan Pyle for this prompt.
Strange Planet by Nathan W. Pyle
2. Do you often read books in a series? Yes.

3. Are you planning on reading the next books in this series? Why or Why not? Yes, Stranger Planet wasn't available (sold out) when I tried to order it, and I'm on a book buying ban, but eventually, YES.

I've read the first in series this year for some others, most notably Harry Potter (I know, I'm the last person alive who hadn't read it!), but I didn't own that one, so I'm not including it in my challenge. :)

Tracy (tracky75) | 49 comments Confession time: I didn't know my book was the first in a series until I was in the middle of it, but that's ok, because I will go on to read the next. Also another confession: I totally picked up The Cake Therapist by Judith M. Fertig because the cover made my mouth water. I do like series books, especially when I'm not finished with the characters, lol.

I read The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins
2. Do you often read books in a series? Yes.

3. Are you planning on reading the next books in this series? Why or Why not? No. I am in the midst of at least a dozen other series that I prefer over this one. Read this for book club.

Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard

Do you often read books in a series?
Occasionally, it depends on the series.

Are you planning on reading the next books in this series? Why or Why not?
It depends on whether this one draws me in enough.

Karen | 94 comments I read The Passage for this prompt, which is the first book in a trilogy.

I sometimes read books in a series, if the plot is interesting enough for me.

I enjoyed this particular book enough to read the next one in the series. Also, this one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, and I'm curious about what happens next.
