The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman by Robin Gregory"

Hi all, what a great group. I just published my debut novel: The Lodge at bristlecone Pines. Here's a little teaser:
Six residents of a fledgling elderly care home were left there to die. They however aren’t done living and join together calling themselves Table 21. You're never too old. Never too old to live, to give, to learn, to challenge yourself, to be productive and to share your life perspective. That is what Table 21 learns during their time at The Lodge at Bristlecone Pines. Through their determination they create a home for those that have a life to live. Share this book with family and friends. It's inspirational, heart warming and funny. It’s thought provoking and starts the conversation: There’s got to be a better way to care for our parents.

Javier Brito | 1 comments Hello everyone! I just joined this beautiful group and thought I would introduce myself. I am happy to have found a goodreads group that focuses on important matters. I thank Caroline Cottom for starting such a positive group and look forward to meeting you all.

My name is Javier Ramon Brito and I am an author, composer and musician. I am passionate about metaphysics and holistic healing matters. My new book The Five Paths to Happiness: The Keys to Living a Happy Life according to Your Personality is a book that intends to assist any readers who are interested in finding happiness in their lives, or people who have a loved one struggling in this area.

The book offers five ways to live a happy life, blending psychology and ancient wisdom. Why five paths? Because according to modern psychology, most people can be fitted into five categories. Because, according to ancient Eastern wisdom, there are five elements that govern the universe. Because the holistic systems that are used for healing, like Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, are based on the interaction of five elements in the human body, mind and emotions.

There is a chapter dedicated to each of these paths, which includes a basic description of each personality type, with their strengths and weaknesses, pinpointing ideal career paths, warning against challenges and offering solutions for them. As a bonus, an appropriate diet is specified for each type, mentioning the foods that benefit and the ones that might bring harm to a certain type.

The final chapter on how to increase your happiness dispels the myths that surround the achievement of happiness in our modern society and analyzes the true essence of an authentic happiness. It offers a sound alternative to the "rat race" (in which many people are trapped) and a happiness mindset for financial freedom and for living happiness everyday.

if you are interested, the book can be downloaded in PDF format on my site: http://www.personal-growth-can-be-fun...

And it is also available on all stores in eBook and paperback formats:

http://tinyurl.com/hgnzo8y (Amazon)
http://tinyurl.com/jrsbavd (Apple iBooks)
http://tinyurl.com/zks8az5 (Barnes & Noble)
http://tinyurl.com/zpq3zvz (Kobo)

If there is someone who wishes to read the book and offers to write a review on goodreads and amazon, let me know and I will be happy to send a free copy.

I thank you all so much for your kind interest and look forward to hearing from you. I wish you all a lovely day.

Aphton | 2 comments Hey, there my name is Aphton I'm from South Africa and would describe myself as a real book worm! I'm fond of non-fiction books such as autobiographies to which I can relate to as a human being and spiritual books because religion as a topic fascinates me. This world in which we live in is filled with such negativity, books to me is my hope and form of consolation.

Abdul Bari (abdulbari) | 1 comments Hello All,

I just joined this group after finding it close to my interest. Let me introduce myself straight. I joined Goodreads 2 years before and posted few of my quotes on this site. I always wanted to be an author and looked for the platform where I can share my writings. Finally I got this. I would love you guys to read my quotes and like them if you really like them. This will encourage me and will help me in improve my writing. I would love to write much more on different topics. But this will only happen when you guys will like my writings and encourage me. I am always open for the suggestions and to learn new things that will help me in my writing. By profession I am a digital marketer but my interest are pushing me to be an author. Hope you will like my quotes and help me in writing more. Thanks

Nima (nerdtanima) | 1 comments Hi, everyone!! I think this is a great forum. We need more "love armies" in a time when there is so much hatred and anger in the world. I finished reading Barack Obama's Dreams From My Father recently and it opened my eyes to the way mixed people can see their own reality--but it's confusing and complicated.

I hope to read more awe-inspiring books with you all. :)

Ian-Anthony Finnimore Hi Tanima,

As the Beatles said "love is all you need".

Nosing at your bio you seem to have the total package - pretty & smart, it would be lovely for you to scrub the word "mixed" from your mind.

Mixed what?

Mixed race - well there is only one race the human race :-)

Francis Mandewah | 3 comments Hello everyone!

My name is Francis Mandewah.

I am writing from Ferguson, Missouri.

I am author of a haunting, inspiring, and spirit-lifting Christian memoir book titled FRIENDSHIP: A True Story of Adventure, Goodwill, and Endurance.

If you've seen the Hollywood movie "BLOOD DIAMOND" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, then I cordially invite you review and recommend my book. My true remarkable story tells what Hollywood failed to tell & show the world about my hometown region ( Kono District ), a region that was once saturated with glitter of sparkling twinkling things on the ground my people once thought were stars fallen from the sky.

My remarkable true story is also about the miracle that God performed in my life when I was a 15-year old poor boy living with a cruel and physically abusive cousin in a diamond mining squatter camp. In the mist of my hardships and difficulties while selling oranges at the National Diamond Mining headquarters at Yengema, I miraculously met Thomas Johnson, an American pilot from Minnesota who was employed in Sierra Leone to fly boxes of gems and alluvial diamonds from Yengema to Freetown, where a British Airways jet would fly the gemstones to London! This was few years before the rebel war.

This generous American diamond transport pilot met me, and befriended me, and rescued me from poverty and abuse and gave me opportunity which eventually took me to America and, in America he paid my college tuition at Springfield, Massachusetts so I could realize the American dream.

At a time in America when morale is bottom low with negativism and pessimism, I hope my true Christian story inspires, boosts, and uplifts the spirits of my fellow Americans, particularly during these challenging and trying times in our country. I further hope my story affirms and restores America's global image and reputation as a Friendly and Generous people and country.

I badly need reviews and recommendations for my book.

Brianna | 1 comments Bonjour! I recently joined the group after seeing some of the intriguing selections your members are currently reading.

I'm 20 years old - currently in my third year of college, and am always on the hunt for edifying, enriching reads to expand my horizons and learn more about social, political and religious ideologies different from mine (and also those in line with my own preferences, of course).

My guilty pleasures include binge watching The Office or Gossip Girl, and those teenie bopper YA novels some of us are too shy to admit we're in love with. ;)

I'm new to goodreads - the group communities, anyway - and would love some people to chat with!

message 220: by Richard (new)

Richard Homawoo | 7 comments Dear All,

"Persistence might be a simple word, but it carries those who practice it to full existence." And that's what I had to do to be here among you as a first time author. But I was fed up so I published three books....One nonfiction and two collections of poems, one which has been converted into audio.

But the first book, I guess was a daunting one. When I share it with friends and co-workers the first question they ask is: "does your wife like it". Why? Because the title says "Paradoxical-What I Wish I Knew Before I Got Married." Did people think I was writing about my wife? In fact what I wish I knew was is exactly what my wife wished she had known...She is the hidden co-author. We both enjoyed the book. While we thought this could help future lovers, it turns out we also need it ourselves. You see? Sometimes you think you are writing for others. But the closest audience can't be farther.

I am here to share and learn from you. I believe there is so much learning and growing in feedback from all sides both positives and negatives...as long as they are constructive. I take them all. I have just one aim. Become a better writer.

Glad to be a part of this party.

Very sincerely,

Hope everyone is doing good. I am Chaithanya (Chai) Sohan, a new author and avid reader whose book America Deconstructed is in process of being published. America Deconstructed is a short story collection about seventeen immigrants who made America their home. The book talks about the human side of immigration, the embarrassments and goofs that arise from cultural differences. It is a positive and light hearted book. We have people from Africa, India, Afghanistan, Europe, Asia to name a few.

We are launching a crowdfunding campaign where we are taking pre-orders to get the attention of traditional publishers. I want to get the word out about my book while also making connections from fellow book lovers.

New Memoir About Current State of US Federal Legal System entitled: MY-AMERICA: A MEMOIR ON JUSTICE AND RACE IN THE US FEDERAL LEGAL SYSTEM

On January 31, 2017 I self published a memoir on Amazon as both an e-book and paperback book. The book is an explosive legal memoir about issues of injustice and bias currently plaguing our nation's Federal Legal System. With all that is going on in our nation, this book provides a very timely analysis and spotlight on issues at the heart of the democratic values that we are guaranteed in our great nation. This book peels off the cover to reveal the truth about the inner-workings our our much vaunted legal system, and provides an insight that far too few Americans are aware of. I am self-published so I need your support in getting the word out on this book, and I look forward to discussing the myriad issues raised in the book with you on this blog. Read my excerpt posted here on Goodreads, and feel free to contact my about my question, concern, or feedback. I look forward to hearing from you, and I thank you for your interest and your support.

Rita Chapman | 14 comments Hot off the press! Romantic travel mystery, Missing at Sea, the second book in the Anna Davies Mystery series, is now available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFKJTV4/

Three years on from Egypt, Anna Davies embarks on her first cruise with best friend Sandra. A few days into the holiday they are woken by three blasts from the ship’s foghorn, indicating that someone has fallen overboard. A woman is lost at sea; the ship turns around to search for her, but she has disappeared into the night.

Was it suicide? Did she lose her balance and fall - or was there foul play involved? Did her husband push her? Would anyone be able to prove whether this was murder or an unfortunate accident?

What a perfect place to stage a murder!

SHARON DELGADO | 7 comments Hi, I'm Sharon Delgado I just got on Goodreads and am happy to have found this group. I write nonfiction from a progressive Christian perspective about issues related to peace and to social, economic, and environmental justice. I read anything I can get my hands on that has a deeper, systemic analysis of world events, especially related to money's influence over culture and governments. I also read a lot of theology (especially process, feminist, and other liberation theologies), biblical criticism, mysticism, and spirituality.

As a break, I enjoy immersing myself in novels and I love poetry. I live with my husband, poet Guarionex Delgado, and we spend a lot of time with our grandchildren, who live nearby. We live in a beautiful, wooded area outside Nevada City, California, with a vegetable garden and fruit trees.
