Thanks, I'd be alright if it wasn't for the fever. I can't stand being all achy and going from hot to shivering one minute to the next. Got up and felt ok, made us some black eyed peas and sat down and it hit me like a freight train.

JoAnne - Jenne said we can go ahead an roll tonight! Woo-Hoo!I've linked up the reviews we have and marked "waived" on the ones we know won't be turning one in. I've left the others open and will link up if we get them. Otherwise I'll mark them waived tomorrow. (I just didn't want anyone to feel like we didn't want their review!)
PS - Jenne, congrats on your promotion - I think Official champagne distributor sounds like an awesome job! ;)
Feel better Jenne. I will post my second review and then roll at midnight Central Time since Jenne says no penalty for those not finished this week.
Hoping for a good roll!
I changed my book for this one:Week 7: Spot 55 - Bird on the cover
Read: Mudbound by Hillary Jordan
Date: 1/1/2015
Rating: *****
Review: I needed something different from my UF/PNR routine and this one was pretty good. I definately couldn't put it down. Reminded me a lot of To Kill a Mockingbird and The Invention of Wings.
Week 7; Spot 55; Read book 5 in a seriesRead:
The Tea Shop on Lavender Lane (Life in Icicle Falls #5) by Sheila RobertsRating: 4stars
Date: 1/2/15
Review: Great continuation of the series and once again love meeting up with characters we've met before. This is Cecily and also her sister Bailey's story along with Todd and Luke's and what a story of who loves who and who should be with whom. Lots of twists and turns along with indecisiveness. Lots of family and friends. Vivid descriptions of the scenery surrounding the town that once again that made me feel I was there. I look forward to reading the next two books in the series but unfortunately the second one isn't due out until July!
Thank you Suzanne & JoAnne - I have your reviews linked up. Looks like you both picked out good reads for Spot 55!Thanks JoAnne for rolling!

Happy searching and reading all!
I will read book 6 in a series so I can finish this one until the next book comes out in July :(
The Lodge on Holly Road (Life in Icicle Falls #6) by Sheila RobertsI will get to it as soon as I read a couple I need to read for reviews. I should start reading it Monday, Tuesday the latest but not a problem since I anticipate it being a quick read like the others I've just read in the series.
Kristin ~ Experiment in Terror Junkie wrote: "Good roll JoAnne!Lots of good choices to ponder.... :D"
Yes there are!
Maybe some of the series we've just read have a 6th book that needs to be read like I do.

Week 8 ~ Spot 65: 5th Book in a Series
Book: Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews
Read: 1/4/2015

Review:
I am never disappointed by the Kate Daniel's series! Although, I probably should have read the synopsis before starting the story as I didn't realize at first it was about Andrea, rather than Kate. The story was just as captivating as Kate's as Andrea is definitely her own cheeky character as well. The story focused on the relationship between Andrea and Rapheal, which I found most entertaining , in addition to Andrea's learning to accept things about herself that cannot be changed. I'm looking forward to reading two other novella's I found on kindle about Andrea.

Quick reading once again!
Thanks, I'm still running fever but today has been better. Last night was rough. I tested negative for the flu but there's no way I believe it. I have every flu symptom and it feels like it did when I've had it in the past. The dr wouldn't give me any tamiflu even though he agreed I had flu like symptoms. They sent me home with orders to rest which isn't helping. I've got my fever down to 101 today vs 103 so hopefully I'll have it kicked in another day or so.

Feel better. I hate when sickness lingers!
Yeah it's really bad this year. I kinda feel like I might be slightly on the mend. I'm not praying for death today. Night time is the worst though.
Jenne wrote: "Yeah it's really bad this year. I kinda feel like I might be slightly on the mend. I'm not praying for death today. Night time is the worst though."I can imagine. Hopefully you'll get a good night's sleep and get it out of your system. Hope no one else in the family gets it!
I've tried to be so careful so nobody else does. I definitely have my fingers crossed I'm the only one.
So sorry, Jenne, you're still feeling bad.. Sounds like whatever you got, got you good. :(. Hopefully that Cowboys win today helped perk you up a little bit. Feel better soon!
Week 8Space: 65

Read: A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas
Date: 1/5/2015
Rating: ***
Review: I wasn't as crazy about this one as I have been about the rest of the series. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. It felt kinda forced like "one last hurrah" and a short way to tie up all the characters and showcase their happily ever afters. It was ok, I liked it but it wasn't my favorite book in the series.

I read my first Lisa Kleypas last week and looooooved it!
I'm planning/hoping to read the Gamblers & Wallflowers series this year. Now I know to lower the bar for the last one!
K that game almost gave me a heart attack lol. What an awesome game but it was intense! Congrats on your win too! So now that The Colts play The Broncos who do you route for lol?
my book is posted in 514 - not read yetsaw it wasn't linked
didn't know if you missed my post right after I rolled
I did miss it - sorry JoAnne & thanks! I blame my phone app... sometimes the covers don't show up. (It's my story and I'm sticking to it...) LOL! Jenne - I did see the first half of the Cowboys game until I was summoned to watch some Game of Thrones. I was impressed you pulled off the win!!! It sounded like it was a nail biter!!!!
Are you starting to feel better yet?
My kids went back to school today for the first day after Christmas break & they ended up with a 2 hour delay for about 6+ inches of snow. My daughter just texted me to let me know their bus is stuck! Oh geez!!
Hope you're daughter made it to school ok! I'm finally fever free woot woot! Now to get my strength back and not feel like I've been run over....
Re the game: We let them get a couple of quick TDs in the first so it was scary. Halftime they came out and played like they've played all year and we won! Now on to Green Bay!
She finally made it to school after the bus was stuck twice in snow and then the nutter bus driver actually backed into someones house if you can believe that?! Tomorrow they have another 2 hour delay (for cold temps) so all is good... I thought that was the plan.. let the Lion's think they've got the hand and then go in for the kill second half.. Well played Cowboys, well played.. ;)
That's crazy! Glad she's ok...I bet you were freaking out.So you riding with the colts or the Broncos on Sunday?
I would have been more freaked out if the bus was having issues further away but luckily they were just a street over so all us moms were chatting and keeping an eye on Crazy Miss Nancy and her bus antics. I will have to root for the Colts but it's always with mixed emotions when it's against our boy.
We play at 4:30 Sunday. What times your game?
12:05 Sunday! Rodgers is suppose to have his calf examined tomorrow of course I'm curious to hear the results of that! High of 15 but sunny so no repeat of the Ice Bowl.
Yea, our Colts won't be playing in our indoor stadium so I'm sure that will be a challenge there.Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow!
I will have my book finished by the time we need to roll. I believe only two of us still need to finish books and write our reviews.Expecting frigid temps here tomorrow night into Thursday morning with below freezing wind chill too. Teachers are taking bets already if we'll have a delayed opening or not. We got a dusting of snow this afternoon and you would have thought it was a blizzard, calls asking if school would have an early dismissal, if after school activities would be cancelled, etc. I'm not a snow person by any means but people have to learn to live with it.
Glad your daughter is okay - stay warm! Let me know if you or I will be rolling this week.
I have a couple of pages to go. Stay warm you peeps up north! It'll be freezing here starting tomorrow. Upper teens/low 20s for lows and the highs in the mid to upper thirties. So not looking forward to it :(
We've already reached our high of the day this morning, which was a whopping 0 degrees lol. Most of the schools in town actually cancelled today because they didn't want kids waiting for the bus with a negative 18 windchill. I'm guessing they'll be closed tomorrow as well because it's supposed to be even colder. I'm ready for spring!
Sheesh I couldn't live like that lol. We're in the low 30's and that front should be getting here soon. So in a bit we get to add 30mph winds to the dropping temps. We'll get down to the upper teens tonight. That's too flipping cold for Texas!

Review:
So this just might be my favorite so far. Loved Rast he was great! While these do have their cheesy moments it's all good. This one does set up the next one nicely and I like that we have a new bad guy to hate too. I connected with the characters instantly and found myself turning the pages because of the suspense. I'll be reading the next one sooner rather than later.
