If Only (Masters of the Shadowlands, #8) by Cherise Sinclair by Cherise Sinclair
Finished:1/24/15
Rating:4 Stars
Review:Sally Hart is thinking of leaving BDSM life for good. She broke up with her Dom and everything seems to be tainted by this relationship among other things. Galen Kouros and Vance Buchanan are FBI agents working the Harvest Associations case and Co-partner Doms at Shadowlands. They've always wanted to play with Sally but never had an opportunity until now. Sally gets caught faking an orgasm which leads Master Z to set up her punishment using Co-partner Doms. Co-partner Doms are just too damn perspective for Sally's own good. Can Galen and Vance figure out what's wrong with Sally? Will Sally allow them to help her? Your answers await you in If Only.

No worries change your read as many times as you want too. I've got no problem with it.

Read: Deceiving Lies (Forgiving Lies, #2) by Molly McAdams
Completed: 1/25/15
Rating: *****

Review: Loved Loved this book! I was up to 2:30 am reading, then had to go to sleep! This was part 2 of the book Forgiving Lies (Forgiving Lies, #1) by Molly McAdams , which finished as a BIG cliffhanger. I am glad I did not have to wait long to read the sequel. :)

Rachel has had a tough life but things are looking great now that Kash and she are getting married. Kash, a former undercover gang operative, can't believe he has found the love of his life. (in part 1 Forgiving Lies)

Soon everything is falling to pieces because Kash's past is coming back to haunt them both. Rachel is kidnapped because of Kash's former job. In order for her to be released, the men Kash had helped put in prison, must be released. Kash is desperately trying to find Rachel. Meanwhile, Rachel is being held captive and the man guarding her, is the man who kidnapped her, Trent Cruz.

Trent is caught up in something he doesn't want to do (gang life) and is extremely sorry. He comes to care about Rachel and wants to help her escape. Kash comes to save Rachel in the end.

After dealing with some insecurities from the kidnapping, Kash and Rachel end up married and getting their HEA.

I read Red Fox (Experiment in Terror, #2) by Karina Halle
Finished- 1/27
rating- 5 stars
I was so excited to find that I loved this book even more than the first. I was sucked in immediately, excited to see where Dex and Perry will travel to film their next Experiment in Terror episode. In book one we saw that Perry had some 'special abilities' when it came to her connection with the 'otherworld' and this book explores this connection even more while leaving us a bit perplexed and hungry for more! We don't find out everything there is to know about either character but get to know them both more- and like them both more as well. They both show many sides- smart, vulnerable, scared, and a little crazy (but who isn't?!).
I love how Ms. Halle engages the reader to the point we feel we are a part of the story. Perry talks directly to us- and she is really funny! She is a bit less self-critical about her weight (just a bit) which was nice. She's sweet and tough at the same time- and finding out how tough she can be! Nice character development.
I just wish Dex would stop calling her 'kiddo'!!

In this second installment of the Experiment in Terror series Perry and Dex are giving their internet ghost-hunting series another go. After being contacted by a former college friend and bandmate, Maximus (a clairvoyant of sorts) Dex and Perry head off to New Mexico to investigate strange occurrences on a ranch. Will Lancaster contacted Max to get tot the bottom of bizarre animals, rock throwing, and killings of his sheep herd but, finding no evidence of ghost activity, Max contacts Dex to investigate. When they arrive in this predominantly Navajo community, they find nothing is at it appears and quickly realize they are in way over their heads. Surrounded by people who are greatly suspicious of 'white folk' involvement and supernatural activity, Dex and Perry are sucked into a situation they may never escape from. This book was a wild ride from start to finish with many twists and turns- I didn't want to put it down.

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yep and then once you hit book 4 you really just have to read the series straight through lol. I was a total mess last October from it. I'm gonna have to reread it soon. I need my Dex fix :)

That's pretty funny! Amazing how some authors just keep it flowing so well. I hope Dex shaves that mustache for the next one and quits calling her kiddo! Considering their sexual tension, kiddo is a little creepy!

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Lol he doesn't kiddo is kind of his thing. How'd you like MaxiASS? You gotta read the novellas with this series. The Benson (Experiment in Terror, #2.5) by Karina Halle is next and it might still be free on Karina's webiste.

After you finish #5 pm me about the novella order. The way GR has it listed isn't correct and you could end up spoiling some stuff.

Denise Lauron (dlauron) | 504 comments I read If the Shoe Fits. It was a quick read and I enjoyed the story. Basically, it was a modern day Cinderella story with a strong woman lead - wicked stepmom and all.
