I have read countless contemporary romance novels, and this is certainly one of my favorites. I loved the book simply because it went beyond the typical and often predictable set-up of contemporary romance. It actually tells a story, and you get to know the characters. You root for Liberty, and you get to understand her as well. This book is fantastic- if you are a first time Kleypas reader, you will not be disappointed.

Friendship

Yes definitely a 5 star read. This story is set in the time period of WWII and features two young women, one a Scot born to privilege (Julie), one a Brit (Maddie) of middle class origins, who meet, and become best friends. Maddie loves anything and everything about flying, and Julie is all about adventure. She knows German fluently and is employed as a British agent to help in the French resistance. Through fate, they are thrown together in a mission to France. The book revolves around their stories, and to say much more would compromise the authors story.
This is a story that will make you laugh, and cry, and remember how it is to be young with the world before you. It will also remind you of the cruelties of war, and how friendship and loyalty is a gift of immeasurable value. I definitely recommend this book...well written, great characterization and a story plot that will keep you turning page after page.

I absolutely love Karina Halle. She is one of my favorite authors and so far I haven't read anything that I haven't enjoyed. This was different from my favorite of hers, the Experiment in Terror series, but it was very good. I loved Vera, she reminded me a lot of Perry from EIT and I think she will definitely be on my list of favorite female characters. I didn't always understand Mateo, but I liked him and he grew on me throughout the book. I look forward to reading Love, in Spanish soon.

Thanksgiving-Teams will roll the Friday before (11/21) two times for two spots. No roll on 11/28. Both book's deadline will be Friday (12/5) and then the game resumes it's normal schedule.

Thalia is a young girl who has been tortured in a chamber without knowing why. As she is able to escape and get to safety, she learns a lot about herself and the people who have dedicated to protect her. The methods used to torture her has left her without memories of who she is. As she lives each day to uncover the truth about herself and those around her, one shocking event leads to another. This is such a fast-paced, fun read. It is the first in a series and the end of this first book leaves a lot of questions unanswered while giving satisfaction to the first installment. I will definitely continue the series. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for some of the annoying editing errors in the book. I think it may have been due to the transfer from print to kindle. Nonetheless, the book is a good one to continue.

I have to say for some of the Freebies I have been reading so far I have not been disappointed, now that I wrote that I will probably get one I regret reading.
Audrey is saved after being kidnapped, yet she still thinks she is still going to be tormented by her savior Stone. I read a mix of genres and I am not all that familiar with the Paranormal besides vampires. This was a nice change of pace from the typical paranormal that have vampires at the center.
I look forward to looking into reading the next book(s) in the series.

Iv'e read a lot of new adult romances lately..and the majority of them are not worthy of the hype. Unbreak Me was really good story. I wasn't in love with the triple POV but was use to it by the end of the book. I found Maggie such an interesting character...she was so strong and week at the same time. This is not an upbeat love story, but a story of a women trying to leave her past behind, but finds she mush face it first. Glad I took a chance on this book.

This is one of those books you get lost in. The story opens with a man wrestling with himself in a lonely hotel room in Amsterdam. Out of his hopelessness he begins his story, starting with his boyhood and all the events that have led to the current day. Through the story you come to know numerous personalities - family and friends, and his every thought as he grapples with life. The Goldfinch is an artwork that plays a pivotal part in his life, which holds the key to his damnation or fulfillment.
Skillfully told, this is not a book that you read in a day, and even a week is not quite enough to give to this book. Thought provoking, wonderfully described and characterized, it is full of the contrasts of life, of the fullness of joy in living offset with the tragedies and promise of ultimate death that we all face. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, this is a must read.

I really loved this second book in Nichole Chase’s Royals series. Cathy is an absolute sweetheart. She’s a sweet, loving, pure character that you will desperately want to find true love. The opening scene at Sam’s bachelorette party is a total riot! You can’t help but find Cathy so endearing from that moment forward. David is a good guy. Just a genuinely good guy. The scenes are all so well written that I got butterflies when the two were together! Recklessly Royal actually has a pretty good villain too! (You’ll know her when you see her!)

Review:
Unhitched is the 2nd book to Dewitched. Dewitched was so wickedly fun and humorous. The second installment however, was absolutely stupid. I would like to be more refined in my critique by offering constructive criticism but I am just so disgusted with how poorly done this book was. I think what irks me the most is how insulting it is to women. More particularly, it's insulting to any woman who has a suspicion that her husband is cheating on her. Some of the events in this book make you want to slap the author. Also, the pregnancy thing was utterly dumb. I can not believe this is the second book after Dewitched. I am so in awe. The author took this amazingly evil/reformed smart, strong woman and made her a complete imbecile.

Review:
Wow, my first James Patterson book and I am in love with his writing. I will definitely be reading more of his books. I have fallen in love with the Women's Murder Club.
I have been introduced to Claire, Lindsey, Jill and Cindy. Each are from a different fields and yet all their jobs work together. Claire is a doctor, Lindsey and Inspector, Jill District Attorney and Cindy is a reporter. Together they solve the Wedding Murders.
They look at the evidence and work out things just by talking to each other. It was enjoyable reading about their meetings and just seeing how they have become friends. They trust each other and will work together to solve the case.
