Book Synopsis:
I’ve lost it. :( The only thing in the world I wasn’t supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It’s been in Magnus’s family for three generations. And now the very same day his parents are coming, I’ve lost it. The very same day! Do not hyperventilate, Poppy. Stay positive :) !!

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents . . . she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

If you haven't read it, I highly recommend her . I was laughing so hard at some of the scenes.

I haven't read that one yet, but just added it to my 'want to read' list, I just read my first book by her and really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to this one, too.

I'm fine with Dec. 6th. I'm planning on listening to this one on audio.

is really good. I also loved That was the first of her books that I read. I also like her Shopaholic series, although I don't think it's as good as those other 2 books.
My mom keep telling me that this one is really good.

Kinsella has such a fun tone in her writing, which makes it easy to like her books :)

(view spoiler)[ Stephanie, I agree with you, I'd definitely be freaking out too if I lost an engagement ring. I think it's weird though how none of her friends are freaking out enough with her to be looking for it with it.

What are the chances are finding a phone in the trash just after yours was stolen right out of your hands? lol I thought for a moment that when she filed a police report about her phone that she would have said that her ring was stolen too.

I was laughing at the visual image in my head of her song to distract Mr. Yamasaki. and I'm liking her phone conversations with Sam. Poor guy probably things some nut job has his PA's phone!!!!

(view spoiler)[ I am seriously cracking up reading this. Poor Poppy - no matter what she does to try to get Magnus' parents to like her, it just doesn't make a difference.

Wearing Wanda's birthday present and then totally cheating with Sam's help in Scrabble only to come up with the highest score so far!! too funny!

And even though she's only been Sam's unofficial PA for a few days, it's hilarious how she knows so much already about the going ons that Sam is just blind too. "Viv" is going to be in for the surprise of her life when Sam calls her Vivian and actually tries to address her issues. Good job Poppy!!!

I love Sam's reactions to Poppy. Him catching her at the dinner was funny - And her little whispered comments about what's going on in the lives of HIS coworkers about things that he should know about.... lol Can you just imagine if he was getting all those emails with ideas from the whole department instead of them going to Poppy's phone? I think he'd flip his lid for sure! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 11 - 13
(view spoiler)[ Awwww, they're starting to realize that even though their meeting was completely weird, there's something drawing them together. I love how he analyzed her incoming texts and helped her see that life with Magnus was not going to be all that she thought it might be. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 14-end
(view spoiler)[ Amazing!!! Love that Violet came through for Sam, in spite of her flakiness and quick escape from her job as his PA! Love the wedding ceremony - so glad that Poppy finally found the strength to stand up for herself. And the text alert for all the guests - that was absolutely classic!!!! Definitely another Awww moment. And loved the revised list for the reception! (hide spoiler)]

It's been awhile since I read a book by Sophie Kinsella, but I can say that it won't be so long before I read one again. Love the quirks, the humor and the romance of it all!!

40% (view spoiler)[That would have been so awkward when the women at the jewellery shop thought that the ring she was buying was an engagement ring and thought that Sam was a cheapskate, and Lucinda having the ring that whole time that just seems suss to me, could be nothing but I don't know I have a feeling. Hearing Magnus fight with his parents about her about not wanting him to marry her must have been painful for her, and then Magnus lying and not telling her what they were talking about must of hurt too. I think she stuffed up with that email to everyone at Sam's work and then not telling him, when he finds out the shits gonna hit the fan I can tell you. (hide spoiler)]

I finished reading it and wow was it good (view spoiler)[I love the back and forth that she and sam had, I felt so bad for her when she found out that Magnus was cheating on her with her wedding planner and that he had lied and never told her that he had proposed to 4 different women before her. What made me really angry is that he lied again about the new ring, I'm glad she didn't go through with the wedding and it was sweet that Sam send messages to all the wedding guests telling them to stop the wedding that she was making a mistake and it was also sweet that kept the A4 stained pages of their texts. As much as I want her to stay monogamous and be the better person, I WANT HER TO KISS SAM. I want them to be together because he obviously likes her. (hide spoiler)]
