SOLVED. Children's book about pollution [s]

It's a children's book from the perspective of a house and every page more and more things are built around the house until eventually a city completely surround the house.

and at one point a boy called sam lives in the house

I can't for the life of me figure out the title, I read this book when I was around 7 and I can't find it anywhere

I don't think it's that one although I really like that book, it's quite similar
