started listening to 11/22/63 - tried to read it for a couple of challenges now, but keep getting distracted - hopefully the audio will work better

I'm reading and I'm loving it - about halfway through. Best kind of non-fiction - gives the facts but very lush in description and characterization. I'm torn about what to read next, but as I'm starting to feel some SAD set in I want something really happy. Or maybe another non-fiction to keep me curious. Maybe , about my favorite writer ever?

Just finished . This book to me was boring to the max hence the 3 star rating I gave it. This second book in the dreamlight trilogy had the same story line as the first book in the series just different names and a different time period. All I can say is I hope the third book in the series is better than the second.

I started Untouchable by Scott O'Conner, but when a 6th grader was using filthy language routinely about 50 pages in, I gave it up. Too many good books to read something you don't enjoy because of the language. Now I am reading Chasing Mona Lisa by Tricia Goyer.

I've just finished by William Landay. Defending Jacob is a well-written, disturbing and gripping crime thriller with plenty of twists and turns throughout the novel to keep you interested. I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the very beginning to the end. The reader is kept guessing as to whether Jacob is innocent or guilty until the very end of the novel. Throughout the trial I kept changing my mind about whether Jacob was guilty or not. I thought this was a excellent read so I’m giving it a well-deserved five stars!

I've finished reading by Jamie Ford last night. I really loved this book! Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is a beautiful, fascinating, tender and moving story from beginning to end. Like the title suggests, the story is such a bitter-sweet tale, heartbreaking at times and so warm and sweet in others.All the characters were vivid, well-developed and realistic. I really loved the characters of Henry, Keiko and Sheldon, and really cared about what happened to them. I found it really hard to put this novel down and I look forward to reading more from this author! I gave this novel 5 Stars!

I've finished reading by John Steinbeck. The Grapes of Wrath is a beautifully written but extremely moving and heartbreaking novel with interesting, realistic and well-developed characters. I love John Steinbeck's wonderful writing style. I just loved his fantastic vivid descriptions of the landscape and the people. At times the descriptions of the barren landscape and the appalling conditions the family have to put up with is very depressing. I wanted to put the book down sometimes due to this but I'm glad a persevered through and finished the novel.This novel well deserved the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction it won in 1940 and it really is a masterpiece of 20th Century literature. It is definitely a must read! Four stars!

I've just finished by Nicholas Evans and by Janet Evanovich.

The Divide started off so well but the plot did get quite slow halfway through the book. I did wish it would speed up at times but the story did remain strangely engaging. The last 60 or 70 pages of the novel were just as gripping and compelling as the first half of the novel. To tell the truth, I enjoyed the family drama sub-plot a lot more than I liked the murder mystery plot but I think that was probably because I didn't like the character of Abbie all that much so I found it hard to care about what happened to her. I loved all the vivid and wonderful descriptions of the Montana setting and landscape that made me feel like I was actually there. Nicholas Evans has got a great writing style and I love his use of language and imagery. I gave this novel 3½ stars!

I love all the regular Stephanie Plum novels but I'm not sure I like these between the numbers novellas. I was very disappointed by Plum Lovin'. Nothing much happened in it and it was extremely dull and boring. It wasn't anywhere near as funny as the regular novels do be and I really hate the supernatural element in the novella. I gave it 1½ stars!

I'm still working on the same book, The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton, it's been months. It has nothing to do with me not liking the book at all. The opposite actually. Every time I get a moment to read a few pages I absolutely love it, it is just my kind of book. But it's finding the time to pick it up that is the issue. Anyone else have this problem because of school?

Just finished Finding Frank. Finding Frank is a page turner from the prologue to the very last page. Frank's story had me smiling, laughing and yes even crying at times. The book is very thought provoking as well as very sad that there are senoir citizens falling through the cracks here in the United States. Frank's story also hit close to home for me because my Husband and I will be two of the 71.5 million that will be over 65 yrs old by 2030 here in the US. I absolutely recommend that everyone read Finding Frank because it is very informative and very much eye opening.

Yesterday I finished by Jennifer Donnelly. The Tea Rose is an extremely well-researched and well-written novel which is packed full of unexpected twists and turns throughout the story. I absolutely enjoyed this book! I thought this book was very gripping, intriguing and engrossing tale and I found it very hard to put it down for long. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next! I fell in love with all the main characters. They were all so interesting, compelling and very well-developed, especially Fiona. As soon as I finished this novel I brought the sequel, The Winter Rose, on my Kindle and I'm really looking forward to reading it!

I did not enjoy it at all:( I did not really care about the story in general, it depends on whether you are into that type.

I loved the first one, so wanted to keep reading. Must go see the movie, perhaps today or tomorrow as I've got a free ticket to the movies I can use.

I've finished reading by Jojo Moyes and by Ernest Hemingway.

I loved Me Before You from beginning to the end. It's a very complex novel. It is well-written, heart-breaking, gripping and deeply moving. I cried my eyes out several times while reading this book. I don't think I've ever cried this much while reading a book before! This novel deals with the topic of euthanasia and could have been really depressing but it's a credit to the skill of the author that she makes the book so readable. This is a thought provoking story and, whatever you feel about assisted suicide, it will make you think about how you would cope if suddenly all your choices and decisions were taken away from you and you had to rely on others to do everything for you. I gave this book 4.5 Stars!
