Yesterday I finished
by Janet Evanovich. It's the tenth novel in the Stephanie Plum series. This novel had a far more serious and darker tone than the other books. It was a gripping and exciting read with an excellent plot and great characters. Right now, I'm a couple of chapters into
by Ian Serraillier. This is a re-read. I first read in when I was in school. I remember liking it but I don't remember much about the plot.
I started Do Unto Others: Jesus Was A Liberal by a college classmate of mine earlier today. I still have Persuasion going on the Kindle and listening to Matched.
I finished reading
by Nicholas Sparks a few hours ago. The book was a bit of a disappointment really. I've read most of Spark's books and I think I'm too used to his writing style. I found the plot of the story to be extremely predictable and slightly unrealistic. But if you've never read a Nicholas Spark novel before, you'd probably like it. Now I'm about to start reading
by John Grisham. It's the october monthly read in a Goodreads group I'm in and I want to get a head start on it.
listening to Only One Life for the michael jackson 15 pointer; and trying to finish up a bunch of the books I have in progress for other tasks (5.2, 5.4, 15.1, 30.8)
I finished
which I was disappointed with. Lots of repetitiveness in this book and mistakes such as Benjamin Franklin was a president...Really???? since when?I am still plugging along with
and
. Hopefully will be done with one of them today so I can start
I started The Tiger's Wife and immediately fell into the story. Also reading Across a Moonlit Sea for 15.3. For a bodice-ripper, it's not bad. Also listening to--and really enjoying--The Whiskey Rebels. Definitely my favorite Davis Liss book.
Am reading A Magnificent Obsession: Victoria, Albert, and the Death That Changed the British Monarchy--and for something completely different from it The Casual Vacancy.
Donna Jo - i'll be interested on your thoughts about Casual Vacancy - I have it reserved at the library - hedged my bets and reserved both audio and print - we'll see which one comes in first
I'm about 3/4 through number9dream, which unfortunately I'm not enjoying as much as the other 2 David Mitchell books I've read. I'm also working on Delta of Venus.
I finished
which reminded me a lot of a Dr Suess book but I enjoyed it!! I also finished
which I really liked too ☺.
I've got The Columbus Affair in hardcover, Buying Time on the kindle and should finish listening to Matched in the next couple of days.
I've finished reading
by John Grisham last night and this morning I've started
by Christopher Ransom.
Dee wrote: "trying to decide what audiobook to start next - Gone Girl or The Silent Girl...thoughts anyone?"my vote is Gone Girl
that's the one I started...then I have a Kristin Hannah, then probably The Silent Girl...soo many audiobooks, too little commuting time!
Michael wrote: "I finished The Bay at Midnight, it was mediocre.I am about to begin American Wife"
I completely enjoyed the American Wife, but I can see where others might feel differently. Will be interested to see what you think of it.
I finished reading
by Christopher Ransom this morning. This book was one of the worst horror novels I've read in my entire life. It wasn't even the slightest bit scary. The author's writing style is terrible and I felt like most of the book was written by a horny 12-year-old. The whole plot was confusing and I disliked all the characters. I ended up not really caring what happened to any of them. This book is definitely one to avoid. Now I'm about to begin
by Stephen King.
haha, horny 12 year old!! lol! I looked and one of my friends who does reviews gave it a 1 star...so even if you hadn't given it a bad review, I would have yanked it for that

I like the movie but I think I have avoided the book because it will be better than the movie and I don't want to be disappointed in the movie LOL
I'm working on The Windup Girl and Delta of Venus. They're both in paper, though, so I may start Lolita or something else on kindle tomorrow.

I loved it, I wrote a review, you can check it out if youi like. Great character development, consistency and ending.
Working on both Candida and The Opposite Of Chocolate. So far, they're both interesting and good, but in completely different ways lol
I finished Sarah's Key, let's just say that I hated the writing style and did not finish it.I am about to begin
I just finished
by Stephen King earlier today and I absolutely loved it. I'm a huge fan of Stephen King and The Green Mile has got to be one of the best novels he has ever written. In fact, it's one of the best novels I have ever read in my entire life. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down! It is very beautifully written and extremely moving at times. The plot is original, gripping and heart-breaking. I'd give this book more than five stars if I could! My full review is here. Now I'm about to start
by Shirley Jackson.
I'm still listening to Damaged, reading On, Off in hardback and started Wicked Eddies on the kindle this morning.
I will be finishing "The Night My Sister Went Missing" today and starting "Accorna's Children- Third Watch
I did not get through Chosen, the story was weak and it fell flat.I am about to begin
, I hope it does not disappoint me.
I'm reading Exploring Missouri Wine Country, hoping to finish listening to Damaged in the next day or so and getting ready to start Delusion in Death on the kindle.
