i have a hard time seeing them as Valjean and Javert - because i'm sooo biased by the broadway versions - Colm Wilkerson who played Valjean for over 15 years, Philip (ugh blanking on his last name) who was Javert

Still reading A Clash of Kings, I also started Crocodile on the Sandbank and I'm listening to Special Delivery in the van - only place I have a functional cassette player.

Dee, I enjoyed "The White Mary." The author herself had been through the jungle of Papua New Guinea so I felt the reader was getting a true look of what it was like in a rain forest. It had a good story that kept my interest too.

I just read The Snow Child tonight, and could not put the book down until I finished it. This was a wonderful combination of a magical folktale with the reality of setting up a home and farm in 1920 in Alaska.

Reading for 30.7, and just picked up my first audiobook EVER for my commutes: A Spy in the House for 20.8 :).

@Dee I'm anxious to see how I do with audiobooks. I'd love to be able to "read" on my commutes (45 minutes each way), but I'm a little nervous that not following along with a paper copy will drive me crazy!

@Jayme Definitely weird! I'm almost to 100 pages and it seems to be piquing my interest a little more, but we'll see. :)

I gave up on Going Bovine. I hate not finishing books, but I just got stuck with it. Moving on to The Difference Between You and Me and I have 1 disc left of A Spy in the House: A Mary Quinn Mystery.

i love audible Randi - I have the 2 credit a month plan and they have huge sales as well...I just bought the rest of the JD Robb In Death series for only 7.95 each, compared to the normal 17-18

I also use booksfree - which is kind of link Netflix - they send you audiobooks on CD to listen to, once you listen, you return them and they send you the next ones on your list

lol, well if you want books to keep go for audible, if you just want to borrow, then do booksfree...I find that with a combo of both I get a good selection - books I might not necessarily want to keep through booksfree or my library, ones that I will re-listen through audible

lol Randi - they are addictive ;) I believe there is an audible option where you pay a flat rate for the year - don't get credits, but get the member discount and can have access to their sales - if you look at going that route...I would play around on both and see which one has more books that you think you will listen to

I'm leaning more toward booksfree mostly because I don't have an mp3 player and will listen in the car. But I need to do some more research on audible since I just realized they probably have a smart phone app. :)
