I hope it is good Donna Jo, she was so funny on The Daily Show. I liked Assassination Vacation

I've been enjoying her writing style, but the subject matter is a little depressing--the US takeover of the Hawaiian Islands in the 1800's. It is worth reading, as is The Wordy Shipmates about the Pilgrims. I also liked her book of essays The Partly Cloudy Patriot.

Oh wow yes!! This is my first challenge and my favourite part was picking out the books to read for each task! Reading them has been fun too, but now approaching the end there is not so much choice. Definitely looking forward to fitting my TBRs onto the new tasks!

I've only been doing these challeges the last several months, and I've yet to finish one completely. I do however have a tremendous amount of fun "trying" to finish. LOL. And yes, it's always exciting to see the new tasks.

message 1591: by Bea (last edited May 12, 2011 03:22PM) (new)

Bea I read Jayme's comment about not finishing a SRC yet and then Meghan's comment about finishing the book Undaunted and my thought was "That is me - not yet finishing a SRC but undaunted in my attempts!" Thanks to both of you for a smile today!

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3045 comments Oh i still participate because it at least knocks some books off my TBR list. Problem is, I put more on.

message 1593: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 8987 comments ditto...I love going through the task completion list and adding books that look interesting...I don't get how people don't keep a to-read list...lol!

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3045 comments Mine is three pages long and that isn't all of my books.

message 1595: by Dee (new)

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3045 comments That doesn't count the ones I have on my Nook.
