I read Anne Boleyn and Me which was a good short read for task 25.3, and I've moved on to the pretty crap Dark Touch: Shadows by Amy Meredith for part B of task 25.2. Normally I'd have abandoned it but I don't have another book to read for this task so I have to get it finished!

Found a spot for Let It Be Love as a Comfort Read for #5.9. Now reading A Fatal Grace, which will pair with Into the Dark for #15.4
i'm getting ready to head into work for 12 hours to figuring out what books to take...right now its lookingn like:City of Veils: A Novel - for City Lights
Girls Gone Mild: Young Women Reclaim Self-Respect and Find It's Not Bad to Be Good - Feminist Literature
The Postmistress - Bookmarks Magazine
and a Rachel Gibon for the Literature Map...I think that should be enough - right?
I picked it up from the library today...sorta looking forward to it...BJ Rose wrote: "Dee, Girls Gone Mild sounds like a really good idea!"

Dee I definitely think that should be plenty...if only I had that much time to read at work. *Goes into a daydream*
lol...well 12 hours...and hopefully nothing going on equals plenty of reading time (fingers crossed)★Meghan★ wrote: "Delicious Dee the book slut wrote: "i'm getting ready to head into work for 12 hours to figuring out what books to take...right now its lookingn like:

I am reading Anno Dracula as the book outside my comfort zone--and is it ever! And listening to 1st to Die by James Patterson while I get my sewing done.

Yeah I am working 12 today too, but since I work as a supervisor in a plant above anywhere from 10-50 people a day reading at work is not an option. Only during my breaks that I can sneak away for.
lol...that sucks!! its only me and 2 others here...and its mucho quiet...we are monitoring computers and TV...★Meghan★ wrote: "Delicious Dee the book slut wrote: "lol...well 12 hours...and hopefully nothing going on equals plenty of reading time (fingers crossed)

Just finished Russian Winter which I could not put down. Now off to hopefully finish The Telltale Turtle.
Finished Dark Touch: Shadows yesterday.I started then abandoned Soulless as I just didn't like the Victorian setting and society. To complete my latest task I switched to The Turning by Jennifer Armintrout which I'm liking so far!
I just finished up reading City of Veils: A Novel - all I can say is Wow. I highly recommend it if people don't have a book for the city lights task yet (it is a relatively new release however, I was lucky that my library had a copy)now onto The Postmistress for the bookmarks magazine task...and i'm reading Girls Gone Mild: Young Women Reclaim Self-Respect and Find It's Not Bad to Be Good a chapter or so a night, i'm a bit conflicted with it right now but its an interesting read
I just finished Little Bee and started A Northern Light. I'm also eagerly awaiting a package containing The Luxe Box Set and Mistress of Rome...any day now! I can't wait to dive into those books!
I'm going to visit family for a few days, which involves a ferry ride and waiting time in the car. I'm bringing along Crocodile on the Sandbank (almost finished), Coffee: A Dark History (pecking away at this one), Bored of the Rings: A Parody of J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and The Glass-Blowers.That should cover all reading "moods" while I'm away.
See you all when I get back. I may even have some points to claim by then, who knows?!
Currently in the middle of Under the Dome by Stephen King. This book is seriously taking me foreverrrr.
I read Romeo and Juliet this weekend. I always knew the story but never read the whole thing before, so I lacked details. After getting past the dialect I really did get into the story and enjoyed it. Hopeing that the fatal end that everyone knows would somehow end another way! Saturday I had to finish Shoeless Joe before going to the library and now I'm trying to finish Tess of D'Uberville. Then onto a 30 point task because I'm tired of getting measly 5 points each time I post! LOL :)

I am enjoying it. I loved the first book in the series and I look forward to continuing. Goldy is such a funny character.
going to read another chapter of Girls Gone Mild: Young Women Reclaim Self-Respect and Find It's Not Bad to Be Good tonight and then i also brought Fuzzy Navel for the name of a drink and The Surgeon for my second book in the "its in the cards" (A GR Author and first in a series)
ugh, so since the book I read for We Need a Drink ended with a huge cliff-hanger (darn it)...i'm going to get the next one in the series (also named after a drink) and use it for Second Chances...the other book I picked for that also came into the library today...

I am also looking to read the next one sometime soon. I have about 8 books out of the library that I need to finish first.
i picked up Cherry Bomb at the library today (yay they had it) and The Cookbook Collector also came in (its a no renews allowed book, so I need to get it read) for Second Chances...might start those tonight!
Will be finishing Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler in the next half hour for task 5.10 Name that Car. The book is ok but not as good as I hoped. Great cover though.
I just got back from a few days of visiting my step-dad. While away, I finished reading Coffee: A Dark History (interesting in parts; dry in parts) and Crocodile on the Sandbank. I really enjoyed Amelia Peabody and will be reading more of the series. I've now started Island of the Sequined Love Nun and am listening to The Golden Mean, which I'm really enjoying but wish I knew more about Aristotle and Alexander The Great.
i'm trying to finish up Countess of Scandal (2010 Debut Author); Collision Course (Group Hug) and The Cookbook Collector (Recommended books) and picked up The Sugar Queen (Recommended Books) and Confessions of a Pagan Nun: A Novel (The First Estate) while I was at the library today
I will be finishing Mockingjay today and will either start up on Clockwork Angel (Group Hug) or Water Song: A Retelling of "The Frog Prince"(25.3 C). Anybody have a recommendation on which one?
I'm reading Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. It takes me back to my own childhood in theearly 60's. You have not lived until you've jumped off the neighbor's garage onto a matress. :-)
I'm reading "The Island" by Elin Hilderbrand. I like her books, because they are fast reads. I have no idea where I am going to put in for a task, but I checked it out from the library, so I have to finish it!
