I'm excited! I've been reading a lot more recently, and I'm reaching the end of books I have planned to read soon so some new suggestions will be great. When will the first book be announced?
I am excited to join such a new book club. I have just recently gotten involved in the whole book loving community both here on Goodreads and on YouTube. I even created my own book tube channel: http://www.youtube.com/users/TheLitCave. I would love for us to start out the book club with a great series like The Throne of Glass series or The Infernal Devices.

This is a great idea Kristina! I've been taking a lot of suggestions from your book videos and it's always easier to read when other people are reading the same thing. So I'm excited for the discussions! I'll be honest I wasn't really planning on reading during November but maybe you all will motivate me. I'll try :)

Man, my to-read pile was already getting pretty high (in a figurative sense since a lot of my books are digital now), but I couldn't resist the urge to join this book club. I have been part of the Sword and Laser book club on Goodreads for about 3 years now, I don't know if that'll help but I'm willing to try wherever I can! I can't wait until we start!PS, so apparently we have a few mutual friends IRL…
Ah I'm so excited! I have to admit I've fallen a little out of reading lately, I think this'll be just the push I need to get back into it!
This club came at the perfect time! I've been browsing Goodreads for a book club to join, but none of them really suited me. Then lo and behold, Kristina starts a cool new book club. Perfect! Can't wait to read and discuss with everyone here :)
I'm so excited for this!!! I just recently started a BookTube channel and I've been looking for book clubs to join so that I have a motivation to read certain books. I love book clubs and I don't really have any opportunity to participate in any book clubs. I love you and your videos and I'm so excited to start reading the books we choose
I'm so excited for this. I've been trying to make an effort to read for pleasure more now that I have more free time, and having an awesome group to discuss books with will be great.

I love book clubs, it's so satisfying being able to read a book and discuss all your feelings and ideas with other people. I can't wait to see what our first book is!

Yeah! So stoked about this book club! This is my first one I really want to commit to - mostly because I feel like the books are a lot closer to my tastes than other book clubs I've seen. Woo!

Hi all! I'm iVy (pronounced Evie) from Puerto Rico, living in California. I love and work in the space industry so you'll see me reading tons of astronaut books and sci-fi. I used to only read non-fiction, which is super interesting but it's so taxing and then I discovered dystopia and sci-fi YA books (I have a sweet spot for YA dystopias in space) and I can't stop reading them. My faves are Lunar Chronicles (I LOVE Cress -- I mean Rapunzel is a programmer stuck on orbit? yes please!), Divergent, The Hunger Games (of course), Partials and Ready Player One.

I will preface this by saying nothing is restricted and I hope you all have a great time being part of this group - you don't need a note signed by a teacher to hang out here!
So I've never run a book club before, and we're all going to be learning together. If you have any ideas or suggestions for things we could do together, books we should read, how to discuss them, anything at all - please let a comment here and let me know!
My ideas so far are to hold a poll once a month where we pick the next month's book. Then we're all read it (or reread it, if you've already read it) and start discussion threads to talk about it together.
I'll also possibly host a few smaller readathons and other fun events if we like the idea.
So join in! Write posts! Make friends! And most of all, have fun. :)
