No can do Nici.....it's below 100 pages. Choose another.

The Geek Job by Eve Langlais
The Geek Job by Eve Langlais
Rating: ★★★★
Read: 12/02/2014
# pages: 143
Review:
A female werewolf doing bodyguard duty for a geeky scientist and working for a vampire, what's not to like? The plot was simple but effective, not overly embellished but strong enough to support the smutty goodness with a great HEA.

Intrusion by CHarlotte Stein (Publisher Provided)

Intrusion (Under the Skin, #1) by Charlotte Stein

Rating: ★★★
Read: 11/30/2014
# pages: 100
Review: Intrusion is an extremely dark tale of two individuals, Beth and Noah, who have so damaged by past events in their life that they are emotionally broken.

I wasn’t sure based on the blurb if this was something I was going to like; but I was in the mood for a romantic suspense so I thought it would fit the bill. Never having read a Charlotte Stein novel the sexual tension and interactions are graphic, so Intrusion is more a psychological erotic for me.

Frankly, both Noah and Beth are odd characters and Stein’s writing style encouraged it. For these two damaged souls it was strange to see who their characters were and what they have become; together they are “whole” but separate still damaged.

Overall, I liked Intrusion but it is a very dark and sensual story. Very different from what I’m used to but a great exploration of how unique and personal the relationships between two individuals can be.

Sherri | 781 comments Week 5, Shelf #1 - A: Perdition by Ann Aguirre (Gift)

Perdition (Dred Chronicles, #1) by Ann Aguirre

Rating: ★★★★
Read: 12/02/14
# pages: 337

Review: I’m so happy that Ann Aguirre has returned to her SciFi roots! Perdition is up there with Sirantha Jax for me.

Perdition is dark; but it should be since the book is set in a floating prison city in space and Aguirre’s writing conveys that world to perfection. Dread is an amazing female character and I can’t wait to read more.

The criminal machinations that Dread is continually up against are truly frightening and let me in awe of her. The supporting characters add variety and further plotlines to the series that will be interesting to see develop. I also enjoyed how Aguirre incorporated some of the characters and events of her Sirantha Jax series; while providing a fresh and futuristic continuation of a series.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was non-stop action from a slow start that has me looking forward to Havoc, the next installment. Well done.

Sherri | 781 comments I figured I would wait until the weekend to pick the new week titles in the event Team 6 fell behind and knowing I wouldn't be able to read until the weekend anyway.

Looks like Team 6 will beat me though, but I'll check back. Boy, that went really quick.

That's Speed Bingo for you.

Still, we did an amazing job, got to discover new series, find hidden gem (some not) and made a spectacular recovery toward to end.
