I think audio would have been extra hard for this book. I found myself skimming some of the longer tangents in part 1 and I probably would have lost the thread completely if I was listening.
I'm up to about page 160 and am finding it a difficult book to get into and stay interested in. Has anybody else had the same problem?
Zara wrote: "I'm up to about page 160 and am finding it a difficult book to get into and stay interested in. Has anybody else had the same problem?"The second part was a lot easier than the first part.

OK. When does the second part start? My copy of the book just has chapters and no parts specified.
Looks like Chapter 18 is the start of Part 2. I don't know more than that since I've already returned the book. There's 3 parts total and they have some overlap but the main character is different for each part.

It's a very unevenly paced book. But it does have a wow of a finish if you can get through the slower other parts. They all do intersect by the end.
I've started this book earlier yesterday and found it to be kind of slow in the beginning that I needed to read something else with more pep in it. :)I hope it picks up soon.

I think every single person has posted some variant on that so far. It's evidently a very apparent issue.
I've finished this book finally. I found the first part very laborious and then it picked up a little in the final two parts. If it wasn't a BR I would have abandoned the books weeks ago!!
Abbie wrote: "I am about 60 pages in, and am curious of where it is going."
I think you'll wonder that a lot with this book.

Abbie, I have the book and plan on taking part of this discussion. I have to finish up another book and will start on this one. I will read 60 pages of it today.
Pigletto wrote: "Abbie wrote: "I am about 60 pages in, and am curious of where it is going."I think you'll wonder that a lot with this book."
Heh. I didn't want to say it but I was thinking that she'd be wondering that for the next 200 pages.
I agree Kelly with your comment about wondering. I found myself wondering even at its end. This was not a book I enjoyed that much.
I think it's a case of when an author gets a bit too much into their own world and doesn't let the reader see enough of it.I read a 200 mistakes made when writing a novel book and one of them was trying to be too literary which I think a lot of books seem to suffer from. They all want to be next on Oprah's book list.

Hahahahaha I agree.
I'm listening to it on audio and forgot exactly what chapter I'm on but before I post I'm going to check where I'm at before I post my spoilers so others can see or not see :)

In love with him....No, more like using him....Just like the first "intimate" moment they had, and she played him then.
She was using that kid to get out if the slum she was living in.

Has anyone else finished?I just finished yesterday....I give it about 3.5 stars.
I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. But it was interesting, and it kept me reading. Although I figured out the end as soon as I starting reading that plot in part three.

I think a lot of us that read it last month thought that it tried to get a bit too complex.

Yes, I too am surprised so many people would fall for this.

As soon as I read about the Manuscripts, I knew all was not what it seemed and they should not not trust this time traveler....these guys bought it hook, line, and sinker.....

I will not continue...all this make believe time travel makes me think, not so much is "really" going to happen in them....Just a few hoax and gullible people....
I don't know if anyone is still reading this but I'm still trying to get past this book. I've currently finished chapter 11 (view spoiler)
It gets a bit faster to read later on but I think the book tries to accomplish too much and ends up being too confusing.
Kelly wrote: "It gets a bit faster to read later on but I think the book tries to accomplish too much and ends up being too confusing."Yeh it seems that way. I think thats why I'm switching between books and this is taking longer than I wanted.
I think based on everyone's comments I'm not going to worry about this one. I was struggling to fit it in anyway :o
