How about Salem's Lot by Steven King?I am currently reading IT and plan to finish it by October 31st. His books seem to be good for September/October reading months.
I read pretty much anything ya - fantasy, sci fi, whatevs. Not a King fan so I’ll pass if that’s what’s chosen but I’ll keep watch and if not will try to jump in!
How about Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley? I dont think its a romance ( I hope not since I also hate romance) and I hear good things about it.

Ok. More suggestions put here, but if you want to read Dry. It's a YA. Non-romance. Drought/survival book. I'm going to put a board up for it, and we could start as soon as Monday.
I got Dry on OverDrive. How many chapters/pages should we do per day? Or another pace?
So what I said on the board for Dry was we'll start Monday, and go a chapter every 2-3 days and then digest etc.
And forgive me for saying their were 11 copies available, I forgot that there are different libraries out there. ;-)
