This is you: http://www.elfster.com/profile/view/1...

I don't see a wish list but I do see a Q&A question from your SS!

Everyone else hanging in there? I'm trying to iron out any problems!

I'm on, and fairly pleased with myself for actually getting that far. Now let's see if I can actually make myself a wishlist.

Rissa (an M/M kinda Girl!!) (rissa79) Quick Question..(more about ARe)
If I buy books today..can I gift them tomorrow.

I'm coming up on a time crunch but really want to buy right now! But won't be able to send till tomorrow.
(Make sense) Plus I was thinking about torturing my person and sloooowly sending the books.

I think you can!

I like giving books all month! Like once a week! So fun that way!

K (k-polipetl) | 86 comments Yeah, if you buy them today they sit in your library waiting to be downloaded or gifted till you are ready - doesn't seem to be a time limit on it....

Elfster emials are anonymous? Good to know.
Not a big problem but I think it's fun being anonymous, I don't get to be mysterious often ;) and a friend request spoils that ;)

Once you buy it, you can look in your library and see the present icon. Then you can gift it.

Shannon The Co-Captain | 35 comments Thanks Heather! I found some great deals there :-D

Dawn I have books in my ARe account waiting to be gifted for almost a year now. I got in the habit of "buying" books that were offered for free even if I already had them so I would have the ability to gift them later on.

~ Lei ~ Reading Is An Adventure ~ (leilanilives2read) | 345 comments Someone suggested updating our wishlists. I've been leaving the books on my GR elfster wishlist and adding the tag 'own'. Should I just remove it from the GR list?

What about Elfster? When I buy for someone, I've been clicking 'purchased' so should I just leave my elfster wishlist intact?

I don't have a GRs wishlist, I'm just using elfster. However I did delete the books that were bought for me off my wishlist because I can't see if the person buying for me has clicked purchased or not.

Kynthos-the-Archer (Kyn) (kynthosyuat) | 48 comments Hi I am wondering how I could mark items on my Elfster wishlist as 'purchased'? I can't seem to do so to my own list. Since I have already received the items from my SS I thought it would be best to mark them as purchased.

You should. If you haven't deleted the original mail, the new notification e-mail could be stacked with the first one and you could have missed it because of that.

Kynthos-the-Archer (Kyn) (kynthosyuat) | 48 comments I bought a book from Kobobooks as a gift but I am lost as to how on earth I could send it to the intended recipient? There's no gift buttons on Kobo. I am screwed. :(

I don't think they have this functionality, but call customer service to confirm and if they can't you can appeal for a refund. I've had success when getting refunds from them when coupon codes don't work properly.

I don’t know, Kyn. I can’t use Amazon or Kobo to give or receive gifts (due to territory rights, I guess).

Kynthos-the-Archer (Kyn) (kynthosyuat) | 48 comments Dawn wrote: "I don't think they have this functionality, but call customer service to confirm and if they can't you can appeal for a refund. I've had success when getting refunds from them when coupon codes don't work properly."

Thanks. I've tried to appeal for a refund. I hope they are helpful on that.

Meanwhile, I've just found out that there's no gift functionality for my region due to territory rights. Sigh... I should have just stick with AllRomanceEbooks. Lesson learned the hard way.

Kynthos-the-Archer (Kyn) (kynthosyuat) | 48 comments Anne wrote: "I don’t know, Kyn. I can’t use Amazon or Kobo to give or receive gifts (due to territory rights, I guess)."

Thanks, Anne. And like you said, they really don't have gift functionality and it is due to territory rights etc thingy. So frustrating. From now on I must remember to just stick with Smashwords and AllRomanceEbooks when it comes to gifts giving.

When the DSP Tweetaways were going on, I looked to see if DSP had gift giving capability and it didn't appear to. I don't know if that's the case with all the publishers but if it is, that cuts out the people who like to buy from pubs for gifting.

Kynthos-the-Archer (Kyn) (kynthosyuat) | 48 comments Shannon wrote: "Does anyone know if there's some way to see what gifts you've sent on All Romance. I can see the ones I haven't sent yet but the others disappeared. :/"

Same thing with me. I tried to go back to check if my gift has been received etc but there isn't a trace of it. It's like I've never purchase it before. Rather confusing. I had to go back to my email to check if I have indeed purchased the book. Yet there's still no way to trace it to your intended recipient.

Okay mental note to self, never to consider DSP when buying gifts. I just don't understand the rationality of not having such basic option.

Same with me, they should have at least list down the titles we bought as gift. But after we send out the gift, I'm guessing that list appears on someone else's library.

I only know the ones that I sent by looking at the e-receipt they send me and then I know what books I bought for me and what books I sent as gifts and I have to keep track of what went to who myself, sorry.
