I finished 18th Abduction by James Patterson. Now I’m starting the Rooster Bar by John Grisham.Currently I’m in the middle of The Time Machine by H.G. Wells
Finished reading Yesterday's Gone: Season Five, and enjoyed it a lot. Nice bounce back from a lackluster Season 4.Finished listening to The Last Astronaut.
Currently reading The Sparrow and The Rages. Listening toThe Uplift War.
I finally read The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. I've read a few of her other books but never this one. It was absolutely amazing. I can't get over the fact that she was only 23 years old when she wrote it.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.I enjoyed it, and recommend it to anyone who likes a laugh with their Science Fiction.

I've just finished 'Alice' by Christina Henry, literally had to force myself to put it down to sleep and eat etc! It's certainly not a kids book though :-)
and now I'm half way through 'Recursion' by Blake Crouch, a real mind-bender, very clever and a great read (I am keen to whizz through it anyway so that I can get to the next book in The 'Alice'series which is 'Red Queen' and is already sat on my Kindle waiting!)
I read The Red Sofa by Michel Lesbre, translated from the French by Nicole Ball and David Ball. It's a quiet, unassuming novel about a woman's internal meanderings while on the Trans-Siberian Railway and the lasting impact of her friendship with her elderly neighbor.I thought it was very good.

I am in the middle of "Iron Lake" by William Kent Kreuger and I love it. I'm happy to say it's the first of a series featuring Cork O'Connor and I'm looking forward to reading more about this very attractive hero! It's a really good thriller with a lot of depth and a strong narrative.
Read Kingdom of Shadows by Barbara Erskine and reviewed it - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1399413230.
I re-read Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton. A beautiful story, beautifully told about South Africa during Apartheid. Although it's been years since I last read it, I think this is the third time around for me. It is as powerful and as beautiful now as ever. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I have just started "Never Let Me Go" by Kazua Ishigoro and I love it. I find it enthralling. I enjoyed "Remains of the Day" by this author but I prefer this one.
Lily wrote: "During this time I needed some comfort, so am rereading Mansfield Park for the umpteenth time :)"Hello Lily - you can't beat the classics. If I'm in the mood for them I'll keep going til the mood passes!
Tamara wrote: "I re-read Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton. A beautiful story, beautifully told about South Africa during Apartheid. Elizabeth wrote: " I've actually read that book three times myself. If I take it down from the book case right now, I'll be hooked again!.."I know the feeling. It's an amazing book.
I read Antigone Rising: The Subversive Power of the Ancient Myths by Helen Morales. She deconstructs some classical myths by interpreting them with a feminist lens and demonstrating their relevance to today. Some of the connections she makes are fascinating. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished a couple of good books. Guarding My Heart by N.R. Hall and Fire Blossom: A Bridge Between Enemies. They were both very good reads!
Sorry, didn't add author of one of the books I just read. Fire Blossom: The Bridge Between Enemies by Gail Meath.
Currently reading "One Caregiver’s Journey by Eleanor Gaccetta". It is an insightful book that digs deeper into caregiving and provides practical suggestions that anyone can use to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their loved one. You can check the book here: https://www.onecaregiversjourney.com/...
I finished the 6th “Outlander” book (A Breath Of Snow And Ashes) and I really enjoyed it, despite it being a lot more slow-paced than the earliest books (with the last couple in the series, it has helped that I am interested in the historical and medical aspects of the story). Now on book 7 (An Echo In The Bone).
'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' (A Hunger Games Novel) by Suzanne Collins.Published by Scholastic Press - 2020
Finished Weep Not, Child by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o. Published in 1964, it is considered a classic. Told through the eyes of a child, it has as its backdrop the escalating tensions in Kenya during British colonialism. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished reading "Perfect Flaws". A book collection of poetry about how to managed and dealt with my PTSD symptoms.https://www.timsegrestauthor.com/book...
