What are you currently reading (or just finished)?
The City and its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami (prob my favorite fiction author!)Anyone here a HM fan?? Would love to buddy up on reads... I've read about 15 of his books but plenty left to delve into, and I find I always really want to talk about them!!
Also dipping in and out of Want collected by Gillian Anderson.
Very different reads! lol
Read Witch Bottle by Tom Fletcher. Rather gruesome and depressing - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Currently reading A Catalogue of Catastrophe by Jodi Taylor. This series is an interesting mix of sci-fi, historical fiction, and mystery/crime.
I was given Craig Johnson's Longmire prequel novella, "Tooth and Claw." It's an arctic adventure, quite page turner - I really enjoyed it.

I just finished a Golden Age mystery, "The Poisoned Chocolates Case," by Anthony Berkeley (who also wrote under a few other pseudonyms.) It was an interesting idea - a select Crime Club, a group of amateur crime solvers is presented a baffling murder involving poisoned chocolates by a Scotland Yard inspector. One after another, the club members present their theories, quickly disproved, until the final presentation. Unfortunately, though the premise was entertaining it got a bit bogged down by the series of theorists' lectures.

I (always) read several books , including: Intermezzo I'm surprised by how much I engage in it and how much I appreciate the author's skill, in terms of expression, psychology etc. This is hypnotic writing somehow and I read more at a time than I'd usually do. Fascinated...

I am currently reading For The Sake Of Ten Mennot quite finished yet, but the story is a captivating and intriguing twist on Sodom and Gomorrah. I fully intend to write a review when I am finished.
The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. Sensational in the time it was written, it's harder for it to compare with today's media, but well worth a read.
I just began 'The Plot' about 'intellectual property 'theft in the literary world....a concept that intrigues me...So far, enjoying the story.

‘Tinker, Tailor...’ is an enduring Cold War thriller given fresh life by the 2011 film and Gary Oldman’s performance as George Smiley: brilliant spy and totally inadequate man.
