Reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. It is a very long book, so it feels like an accomplishment now that my readers says I have only 10% to go!
Christine wrote: "I’m reading a book called Twenty Years Later by Charlie Donlea"Enjoyable but not his best one.
My name is Barbara Mostella, and I'm a published fiction author of a three-book series titled 'Who would have thought'. I've always desired to write a book, and surprisingly, I've written three. Three books written. Who would have thought? You can locate them at the link below. Check me out, pick up a copy and leave a review.https://www.amazon.com/s?k=barbara+mo...
I'm currently reading The Other Side of the Sky by Arthur C Clarke. lots of short stories that show a quirkier side to the author.
I'm reading Love and Protest by Nancy Klann. It is an interesting story of two girls from two different eras who commit to a cause. A good read, indeed!
Love and Protest
Read another two:MaddAddam by Margaret Atwood - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The Mystery of Three Quarters by Sophie Hannah - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished the little-known "Turn Left at the Corner" by Nancy Donnell, fiction set in St. Louis MO and featuring a group of characters whose different life situation stories intersect.
Just finished Kim Stanley Robinson's 'The Ministry for the Future.' It made my brain hurt. Not much fun, but an important book for our times.
Read and reviewed:The Decline of Magic: Britain in the Enlightenment
by Michael Hunter - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Cats Prey by Dorothy Eden - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
From Pitch to Publication: Everything You Need to Know to Get Your Novel Published by Carole Blake - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm currently reading Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco which could best be described as esoteric if very well-written.
Read a couple of spy novels, but found them disappointing:Watchman by Ian Rankin - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am currently reading Throwaway People by Mallory Eaglewood. I highly recommend this skillfully handled story of the facts and emotions of racial injustice and its effects on individuals and families. Throwaway People
I just finished "The Six Thirteen From Fairfield Junction and Other Sherlock Holmes Adventures," by Denis O. Smith. Smith is a prolific author of new Holmes fiction and is often singled out as one of the writers who does an excellent job of delivering an authentic tale, in terms of content (these are based on some of those "other story" mentions) and in style.
My Second book, The One Called Jade, is avaliable now. Its in Ebook and Paperback on Amazon.com! The One Called Jade https://a.co/d/ejf8Fs6
Hi everyone, I'm reading Master Chief, Diary of a Navy Seal. Good book so far! I have a question for everyone: How many of the over 2,000 people that clicked want to read Two If By Sea, have actually read it? If so, what are your thoughts? Most of the reviews are high and praising the book, so I'm a little baffled that more people haven't followed through with their "want to read" and sales don't support so many of the want to reads either. If I click on a want to read, I usually already have or will purchase the book shortly after and add it to my collection or it will move to the top of the pile. What are your thoughts about all of this? I'm open for suggestions on how to get more readers of my book and hopefully a well-known influencer to actually want to promote it!
