What are you currently reading (or just finished)?
Still ploughing on with Donna Tart's, The Secret History. It might have made a good novella as the premise is an interesting one. However, there are over 600 pages of it and I am still not finished 12 months later. Probably says all that needs to be said.

I've been struggling with it for two months now. I'm determined to finish it, so what I do is read a chapter of "King of Lies" by John Hart, then read two chapters of "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" to break up the monotony.
And this is a classic, mind you.

Just finished Kill Switch from the Devil's Night Series. Loved it. Dark Romance genre. The Devil's Night series is a Plot heavy dark romance series.
The Maya Book of Life by Michael Owen. The book discusses the Xultun Tarot Cards, but the first part of the book is a masterclass on psychology and spirituality.

An Interstellar Cozy Mystery
This intergalactic murder mystery will take you on a thrilling ride you won't soon forget. When Lady Jayla finds the body of a retired shopkeeper on the beach, she is thrown into a web of passion, terror, and murder. As she attempts to find the killer before she becomes the next target, she must also battle interplanetary jewel thieves and the detectives who think she is either the thief or the perfect bait. With a dysfunctional house-bot, a sales bot who cleans her display window naked, a nosy boyfriend, and an overprotective family, Jayla must overcome an array of obstacles to stay alive.
She needs to figure out who the killer is before she becomes the next target. To complicate matters further, interplanetary jewel thieves are breaking into her shop and the local detectives think she might be the one behind it all - or the perfect bait.
If you enjoyed the suspenseful whodunnits of Agatha Christie, or The snark of Amanda M. Lee’s Winchester Witches mysteries, you'll love this fun-filled cozy mystery.

I am reading Breathe for Me by Donna Comeaux. OMGosh! I've only read the prologue and the first two chapters and tears are rolling down my face. I recommend this book. https://www.amazon.com/Breathe-Me-Don...

The House in the Pines and The Witches! The House in the Pines is good, easy reading so far.
Witches is intricate and historically compelling so far.
I just finished and reviewed "The Beetle" by Richard Marsh. I had read it years ago when it was re-discovered and reprinted, went back to it because I have been reading a lot of Marsh lately. "The Beetle" is a long, supernatural suspense/romance tale that had originally been serializedl.
Am listening to American Values: Lessons I Learned from My Family.Personally I could have done without the very chapters describing patriarch Joe Kennedy and his wife Rose's life, simply because it's ancient history.
However, the description of JFK's presidency, the Cuba Crisis, JFK's efforts to end the Cold War is probably the most vivid and dramatic historical portrait about that era I ever read (listened to).
The same goes for the author's father's presidential campaign which ends with RFK getting killed in LA, the transport of RFK's body from New York to Arlington. So moving, I almost cried.
Three chapters to go.
I’m reading a book called Finding Their Christmas Home: An Uplifting Inspirational Romance by Donna Gartshore
Power Editing For Memoir Writers: Includes the #1 Secret to Power Up Your Writing now! Wish I had found this before I published! Great ideas.
I'm reading Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. A confusing story set in the very far future. Too many (unnecessary) terms are not explained; same for the history. Many writers and some readers hate prologues, but this book absolutely needed one.
I’m reading a book called Make Me a Match: Baby, Baby\The Matchmaker Wore Skates\Suddenly Sophie by Melinda Curtis
The Devil May Dance by Jake Tapper - The book demonstrates that "famous authors" aren't necessarily better authors than "unknown authors." Listened to 26 of 35 chapters, didn't finish it. Disappointing.
