Yep I am UK ! London to be exact :-) it is always great to spread well wishes and happiness. Is it your dream to live and work in the UK ?
I've been an Anglophile as long as I can remember (which is a long, long time LOL). Until a year or so ago, I longed to live in isolation on the Moors; but then I discovered Paul Cornell's "Outer Boroughs" and fell in love with Arcane London. London Falling, The Severed Streets, Neverwhere, Rune, Roofworld, Mother London, Kraken
That is the magic of books ! Makes you want to travel:-) when I was at university I read a fantasy book called The Summer Tree and part of it was set in Toronto University. It became my dream to travel to Canada, which I did in 2006. When I read Canterbury takes (the translation, not in original Middle English), I wanted to visit Canterbury, which I did also. So yes i understand how you feel :-)
Thanks...sometimes I think I'm "off the wall" with my London obsession:)I remember The Summer Tree; Charles de Lint' s stories about Toronto are akin to these I've mentioned of London, opening a new, more magical dimension.
Sorry I meant The Summer Tree by Guy Gavriel Kay. Which is the first book in the Fionavar Tapestry. Just checked out Charles de Lint, seems he a prolific writer :-)
Yep, that's The Summer Tree I remember; I think the only one of his books I 've read, a failing I should rectify.de Lint is excellent; he makes the reader live in a Magical Toronto, complete suspension of disbelief.
Hey Guys. Sorry for my lack of comments. Been busy here with work. still working on the second book. Forgot how awesome this series was.
That's is ok Adam, I had a similar problem. I finished all five books now, and agree the series was great. Really enjoyed it :-)
I've got to get II read, cause I'm really anticipating Clickers/Dagon. How many of us are participating in the Dec. J. F. Gonzalez Read?
Just Adam and you left Mallory I believe. Me and Jonathan have finished. But the thread is always open for discussion. So just read an chat when you feel like it :-)
Thanks, Mehmet--I do have a question: you mentioned 5 in the series. I only know of CLICKERS, Clickers II, Clickers III: Dagon Rising, Clickers vs. Zombies. Am I missing another?
Oops my mistake Mallory, you are correct it's 4 books. I was not concentrating on what I was writing. Clickers vs zombies is the 4th book but more like a spin off then a continuation.
The third book is a lot of fun too. I like it just as much as Clickers vs Zombies.Tony Genova is one of my favorite characters.
Hey guys sorry the holidays have kept me busy. Still working on rereading the 2nd book. How is everyone coming along?
My favourite was first novel, but I enjoyed the whole series a lot. It was a great set and the plot line followed perfectly. Zombies and Clickers was a great finish and combined the Rising and Clickers to perfection. Adam, Me and Jonathan are planning on reading Brian Keene's Levi Stoltzfus series from 12th January. Would you like to join us ? Anyone from this thread is welcome :-)
Mehmet I just want to say thank you for being a great friend! You have been with me for every buddy read and I am lucky to have met you. :)
Ahhh thanks Jonathan and you have been a great friend also. Looking forward till lots of Buddy reads in the future with you !

At the end there is a spoiler.... like 80% into the book.
(view spoiler)[ The Black Lodge Agent named Clark closes the door way at the end and when he does he names the door keeper Amun. (Calls for his power to send Ob back.)
You will remember the door keeper / gate keeper from Tequila's Sunrise. The little worm who gave the kid the ability to travel into the labyrinth. I thought this was a nice connection. He wasn't called Amun in Tequila's Sunrise, but now we know his real name.
