Book Three (31-42): (view spoiler)[ YAY! Cress is doc's long dead baby girl. Thorne finds Cress being literally held by Wolf. All almost captured by Commonwealth military.

Beginning of a plan to stop wedding and get to Luna. Poor Wolf is heartbroken. I hope Scarlet is okay. Though angering Queen Levana is bad for her health. Yikes, mind control is scary. Reminded me of the Saw movie where you put people in impossible situations.

I was so proud of Kai for stopping cyborg experimentation and repealing his grandfather's Cyborg Protection Act.

I gained respect for Thorne in his loyalty and strength in the trek through the desert. And he never lost patience with Cress. I was glad that Cress didn't whine the entire trip.

I liked Kai in Scarlet waaay better (view spoiler)[than in most of this book. Kai worrying about Levana was not as interesting as Kai torn over Cinder. (hide spoiler)]

Yes, my thoughts exactly. (view spoiler)[It was a bit too long here and there, they split up then re-unite again plus 2 (Kai & Cress) minus one (Scarlet), that's pretty much it. I noticed that Wolf and Scarlet had minor roles in this books, and although Wolf frequently showed up, he wasn't talkative, I can't really recall his brooding nature.

Princess Winter seems an interesting character, her interaction with Scarlet was one of the best chapter in the book, I hope she doesn't turn out Cress #2. (hide spoiler)] I will probably read the next book Winter but I'm not in a hurry, for the moment I'm more interested in Fairest.

(view spoiler)[In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
I love the story lines of this series, but Cress fell a little flat for me. Cress was so waif like and naive. I just wanted her to grow a pair so badly. I felt like she was constantly either crying or swooning over Thorne. I get it, Thorne is very charming. I wanted to hear more about Scarlet, but perhaps I will in the next few books. The most interesting part of the entire book was the interaction between Scarlet and Princess
Winter. I did, however, enjoy the similarities between the fairy tales these stories are based upon. For example, Thorne was blinded and Cress had to give him eye drops to attempt to return his eye site; very similar to Rapunzel. (hide spoiler)]

Ended Chapter 40. I was also happy that (view spoiler)[Cress was the Doctor's daughter but he thought she was dead and she believes that her parents didn't want her. I liked that she was strong through the trek in the desert. Cress is stronger than she thinks if she just trust herself. I really like her. She's like Rapunzel with the long hair. I wonder if the Dr. is going to say anything about be her father?
It was cute to see that Cinder was happy to see Thorne and how she talked about Darla, the escort droid, for Iko. That was so sweet of him.
Not much on what's happening to Scarlet but I hope that there will be more of her in the next book. Wolf is so lost and feels that he failed her and that she is dead but I like that he's still angry enough so that he can get her back. (hide spoiler)] I'm nearly done with this book so I'll post more.

Book Four (43-61): (view spoiler)[ Doc tell Cress already and stop scolding Cinder and advise her. I hate haters who are just negative and not constructive! I wish Doc could've been more heroic.

Wolf is impressive. I loved the scene outside the control room with the piles of incapacitated guards. I wish they could make Wolf impervious to Lunar control. I'm glad to see Cinder getting stronger and glad that she is not enjoying her power or abusing it.

Wow, Jacin is loyal to the OTHER true princess. Did not see that coming. I thought he knew. If Winter is also a princess, does Cinder have to be the Lunar Queen?

LOVE Cinder and Kai back together!!!! :D

I thought that Cress was the last book in the series...obviously, I was wrong and very diappointed. Oohhh, Winter is probably about Snow White! Hey, Queen Levana and mirrors makes sense...Mirror, mirror on the wall...I get it!

I do not understand the Cress/Crescent Moon and Rapunzel tie in.

Chapter 1 - 22

(view spoiler)[That's a pretty interesting view on the blood. She might be the answer to something. And I've been loving Cress so far. She reminds me so much of Disney's Rapunzel. I think from all the chars so far she is the closest one to the fairy tale.
And hurray love interest for Thorne! He's a good guy. He deserves it!

So much has been going on. I love how the author didn't forget about the little details regarding Cress. How she freaks out when she's on Earth for the first time, and sees all that she's only dreamed of. And how incredibly smart she is.

I can't believe how the events all turned out :( Now Scarlet has been taken prisoner and Wolf is badly injured and Thorne and Cress are stranded in the desert. Everything seems so hopeless now. And this new Lunar guard. I do not trust him.
And glad to see Dr Erland doesn't trust him either! I wonder if he's going to teach Cinder some Lunar shenanigans to help her xD

I find the most boring parts to read, to be Kai's. I've kinda lost touch with his part of the story :| (hide spoiler)]

I agree Eni that Kai is boring in this book, (view spoiler)[but I have hope for the next book. If the Lunars already know the disease exists and have the antidote, why do they bother still taking blood samples? And if they are checking for Lunar blood, why didn't Scarlet raise the red flag.

At one point, I thought Scarlet was Dr Erland's granddaughter. Did her grandfather, the Lunar, really die? I guess Dr Erland was too young. (hide spoiler)]

Winter doesn't come out until later in the year. You could always wait and see what others think about Fairest? Though, the people that read it are probably the ones that love the series. :)

I couldn't stop reading it >_< went to bed at 5am -_-' i just HAD to read until (view spoiler)[everyone was together again!
I felt like punching Gina and Niles. But yeah i have to agree with Angel. They were 2 kind to be true.
The whole last chapter i was like "YO WOLF.. LOOK AT WHO YOU'RE HOLDING! LOOK AT HER! AND CRESS YOU DUMDUM HE'S WOLF, ONE OF CINDER'S ALLIES!"
And i knew there was another book, so not that surprised about Jacin being loyal to the stepdaughter. I wonder if she's going to a be a good girl. (hide spoiler)]

Dr. Erland.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It made me so sad :( but i guess it made sense, since he was the one researching about a cure and dealing with letumosis cases often. And virus/bacteria are unpredictable and can mutate. But still :( (hide spoiler)]

I'm only at Chapter 6. I really enjoyed in the first two books, (view spoiler)[ partly because the female leads weren't boy crazy. I don't mind that Cinder and Scarlet both have love interests. (Plus, I read The Queen's Army, so I'm fond of Wolf.) I am a bit annoyed that Cress is so loopy when even thinking about Thorne, a boy she's never even met. I realize that she's been alone a long time and it's understandable, but her reactions still bother me. Plus, I know it's a fairy tale and they all end with the boy and the girl happily ever after, but I guess the neatness of how the pairs aligned soooo quickly bothers me. I think that if Cress had met Thorne and the relationship had built it would have felt better to me. (hide spoiler)]

I think I have finally really gotten into this book and after reading just two pages in the last week, I have finally made progress!

(view spoiler)[I am liking Cinder's training scenes. What was a concern for me was that Cinder seemed very hesitant in the previous book. She was just going with the flow and not really keeping in mind that a lot was expected from her. Here she is making that effort and I think I am going to like this book better now. (hide spoiler)]
