Krissy nodded slowly, liking that word. Compromise. She could do that… she didn't feel guilty in the slightest about a compromise. It wasn't as childish as complaining sounded. She smiled then, giving him a quick hug. "Thanks Mali. I'll talk to him." She agreed, feeling confident that she had a plan now. "Why are you so smart?" She teased, leaning her head on his shoulder. She liked having an uncle that was such a close friend. Kind of like a second older brother. Parker giggled, thrilled with that idea and ran off to collect her clothes and belongings. Laila smiled lightly, watching her go, and kissed Chris back when he kissed her. "Something to do might be nice." She said honestly. "I've grown rather tired of TV and the same old books they have here." She shrugged. "But other than that, don't worry too much about me. Stay as long as you want, ok? Parker needs the break from the hospitals."
Jace felt incredibly awkward about needing help with everything, as he was used to taking care of her, not the other way around. And yes, it hurt his pride a bit. But he smiled, nodding. "Awesome. Movie marathon it is." He kissed her hair, his smile soft. "I'm incredibly prideful, babe, you know that…" He grinned. "But I'll try my best."
Antony, in his head, was going over and over memories, in a vicious circle of pain and longing. And somewhere, a soft female voice was talking to him in Japenese. It sounded so much like Mira that for a moment he dared hope… and allowed himself to break through the veil and look around. His hopes were crushed when he saw the small girl sitting by his bed, not Mira. Her daughter. His throat swelled closed with emotion and he willed himself to fall back into the depths of himself, not wanting the pain of seeing her likeness in this girl… not wanting to even look at himself, for everywhere he looked, he saw Mira's handiwork, in the tattoos…
Mali pecked her head "trial and error I suppose, now come on its getting late you better get back to your hubby I'll keep an eye on your family alright?" He promised giving her a playful push "just be honest with him, that's what both of you deserve...and no kids yet im too young to be a great uncle!" Thougj technically he wasn't her uncle he was her brother's wife's brother...no relation but he adored her and it was fun being an uncle kf her and Parker.He went to find Ashley and saw her talking sweetly to the baby boy "hey he's looking better already..." He kissed her from behind holding her closely.
Chris nodded "I'll grab some things, maybe some clothes and make-up so you feel more like yourself too...I'll get Krissy to watch Parker and I'll be back tonight..." He promised brushing his nose against hers "I love you...get some sleep..."
Mai played with his hair as she ordered the food and started the movie "this is a good learning lesson for you then!" She teased and snuggled by him loving to feel his heartbeat by hers "don't scare me like that again...I will go to heaven and hunt you down..."
Nimuae beamed seeing him move and look at her, but the way he looked at her crushed her...disappointment, anger...pain...she stopped singing knowing he probably didn't like it and curled up on the chair refusing to cry. The Master hurt her every time she showed emotion so she was pretty good at it...being stoic but not heartless not yet anyways. She knew she wasn't wanted but where else could she go?...
Krissy smiled getting up and walking. "Alright, alright!" She shook her head. "Thanks for the advice. And you'll be happy to know that I don't have any plans for children soon." She promised, returning home. She found Daniel in the kitchen and sat by him. "Can we talk?" She asked softly, biting her lip. Ashley looked up when Mali came in and she nodded slowly, not smiling. "He'll survive." She agreed, looking back at the small boy. "But I don't think the Antony we knew is around anymore. I've never seen him look so cold." She said softly. She was aching herself, aching for her best friend who was not there to encourage her anymore.
Laila smiled then, glad he knew her so well. "You're a gem." She squeezed his hand. "Thank you." She couldn't argue with sleep, and while she wanted to see him off, she was already having a hard time keeping her eyes open.
Parker walked in then, beaming, in her clothes again, and a hospital bear under her arm. "Let's go now Dad!" She whispered loudly.
Jace shook his head in amusement. "I think you're just enjoying this too much…" He teased, leaning his head on top of hers, as he watched the movie and let himself relax again. He chuckled softly. "Who said I'd go to heaven?" He teased, kissing the top of her head. "But I don't intend to risk your wrath." He promised.
Antony kept his eyes closed, trying to ignore the world, to shut it out. Mira getting stabbed replayed over and over in his mind. It was his fault. He should have healed her better, gotten her here faster, should have gone in there with her. He would never forgive himself… and yet his mind seemed to keep snagging on how the old master, who had been killed was still alive to come back and stab her… The pain of loss was too much for him, and he slowly heaved himself to his feet, pulling out the tubes and wandering down the hallway, ignoring everything and everyone. He had to get away from here, had to get away from everything that reminded him of the love he lost. He didn't care where he ended up. He just had to get away.
Danny looked up and nodded worried about her "yeah what's going on?" He brushed her hair behind her ear caressing her face. He knew she was tired her eyes have her away what with her family being in the hospital he was sure that was difficult.Malibu sighed and nodded holding her close "it's a hard loss for all of us...he can't just abandon his son though...and Mira has a daughter she's 9...she just sits at his bedside quietly...like a little ghost...I dont know what to do these kids need love and homes..."
Chris chickled and nodded as he picked her up over his shoulders and took her to the guest house of their old beach house Krissy offered it so they wouldn't get jet lag flying from Italy and back again every day. Munchy ran up and tackled Parker licking her face off so grateful to have his playmate back and safe.
Mai sighed kissing his chest "I may be small but my wrath is mighty!" She warned and watched the movie not finding it as entertaining as she thought it would be but she snuggked in more and wvebtually fell asleep in his arms.
Nimuae watched as he just left...didn't even look at her just left her...she wanted to follow but didn't want to be rejected so she stayed. The tears came at that point as she buried her face in her knees and just cried. She had no one...no one would care if she was gone or not...she was invisible and scared...
Krissy took a deep breath, trying to be brave. "I umm… I had to let you know that while I love that you've grown so popular, and I'm super happy that you're so happy… I'm not the kind of person to enjoy big crowds… and sometimes… sometimes… I'd like to just have some time with you and me…." She looked up at him, nervous. Ashley leaned into his embrace, closing her eyes. "I worry for the both of them, Mali… I don't know how stable Antony is. He loved Mira dearly." she whispered. "We might… we might need to find new families for them both…" She said softly.
Parker laughed, enjoying being back at their old house again. And she shrieked with joy when she saw their dog run up. "Munchkin!" She laughed, rolling around with him, happy to have her friend back. "Were you a good puppy?" She inquired, walking with him and her father into the house.
Jace chuckled. "I don't doubt it." he promised, watching some more of the show with her. It was later that he realized she had drifted off against him, and he smiled softly. "G'night, love." he whispered, drifting off himself beside her on the couch, not being strong enough to move either of them, but he was content there anyways.
No one knew where Antony had gone, or what he was doing, he just seemed to disappear off the grid. A nurse came in later to check and she frowned, seeing him gone. Then she spotted the small girl crying in the chair and she bent down. "Oh honey… are you alright?" She asked, hugging her gently. "What's wrong dear?"
Danny slowly nodded and gave a smile "I had a feeling you weren't enjoying it much...honey, of course I'll cancel my next tour and we can just go on our honeymoon...just the two of us no fans or caneras...one sleeping bag under the stars...how does that sound?"Malibu froqned watching the boy "he's a fighter though...he won't let go of my finger..." He said feeling sorrowful about it "Ash...would it be a possibility...for us to adopt him?...if Antony doesn't want him?"
Munchkin trotted by her side and barked licking her hand and following her everywhere she went. Chris smiled and got some sandwiches made for the two of them to munch on for dinner, he didn't cook it was one of the talents he lacked on.
Nimuae looked up and snuffed shaking her head "he doesn't want me.. He's not gonna keep his promise..." She whispered and buried her face in the nurses chest just letting it all go. Being kidnapped and her parents dying then finding her birth mom and her dying it was just too much."
Krissy relaxed, letting out a relieved huff of air as she hugged him. "Thank you." She said, glad he didn't get mad at her, or misunderstand her request. "That sounds wonderful…" She said honestly, so happy she had been able to talk to him about it. "I was scared you might be upset." She admitted. Ashley nodded, keeping her eyes on the small boy. He was so tiny, and yet he was there, still living. She nodded slowly. "I'd be open to it." She agreed, knowing that the child would have a good home with them. He deserved a family after all. She swallowed slowly. "Mali… is…" She winced. "Is Mira really dead?" She asked, her eyes brimming with tears.
Parker fed bits of her sandwich to the dog, laughing and smiling and happy to be back home again, and able to do her puzzles and play with Munchkin. "Thanks for the food Daddy!" She said, grabbing a puzzle box. "We'll be in my room. Come on Munchy!"
The nurse rubbed her back gently, trying to soothe the small girl. "I'm sorry honey, I don't know where he's gone." She said honestly. "This happens sometimes when a spouse loses the person they love." She said, trying to console the girl. "I'm sure it had nothing to do with you, but just that he had a broken heart." She promised, holding her gently.
Danny shook his head holding her close and kissing her hair "why would I be upset?...I just want you happy and I could tell that lifestyle every week wasn't making you happy...im kind of tired of it too, I miss just being able to hold you every night listening to the waves crash..."Malibu sighed and held her close rubbing her back and stroking her hair "im afraid so...the doctor did everything he could she just lost too much blood...Im hurting for Antony but he can't just abandon those two innocent kids they did nothing wrong..."
Chris chuckled watching them run off as he sat in the kitchen by himself, they never happened to him..,he always had Laila by him no matter what, he ran a hand through his hair and cleaned up the dishes needing something to keep him from being lonely.
Nimuae sniffed and nodded holding on tightly not wanting her to let go, she had severe abandonment issues now. She didn't know what was going to happen and that scared her the most...her little tummy was grumbling though she hadn't eaten much staying by his side all day long.
Krissy hugged him, glad he understood, and that he wasn't upset with her. "thank you, for listening, and understanding. I'm glad that we see the same way." She said honestly, listening to his heart beat. "I'm happy you're doing so well in music, but I do like some time now and then to unwind and relax again." She shrugged. "Maybe we could plan some time each week just for you and me."Ashley suddenly found herself angry. "And they didn't have any transfusions?" She asked, her voice breaking as the tears fell. "How can we have the best medicine on this planet and she still die!? This doesn't just happen, Mali… it can't have happened… she's not gone… she can't be… Antony… and the kids… and me… she can't be gone…" She sobbed, dissolving finally in broken tears.
Antony had made his way to the water, and coincidentally, it was near Chris's old house that he ended up sitting down and just watching the waves for hours. As the sun set he found himself sobbing by the waves, feeling more broken and lost than he ever had. He wanted to see Mira again, and there was only one way he knew how to do that. Walking out into the water, he didn't look back to the shore.
An hour later, his red shirt was easy to spot out on the waves.
The nurse hated seeing anyone so sad, and she stood with the girl, smiling gently down at her. "That's better. Let's go get you some milk and cookies, hm? That's my favourite snack, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too." she insisted, leading her to the cafeteria and getting out a glass of milk for her, and some warm cookies.
Malibu frowned she was right...things like this didn't happen...he kissed her head "watch over the baby for me..." He insisted and went down to the morgue and as he suspected her body wasn't there he immediately called Brandon "Brand it's Mali we have a kidnapped agent...it's Mira I checked all medical records and no one knows who the doctor is that pronounced Mira dead...im thinking we have another Derrick and Chris case..."Chris blonked seeing something out the window, he ran out and dove in finding the red shirt "Antony..." He quickly dove in more until he found his body and pulled him up to shore starting compressions and mouth to mouth "selfish bastard come on! You've got a kid...you can't give up!" He hit his chest hard till Antony spluttered and coughed up all the water.
Nimue sipped the milk and frowned holding up a cookie and looking at it, she never had one before. She had missed out on a lot of childhood memories and things. She smiled and took a bite finding it sweet and yummy "thank you..."
Ashley just nodded, wiping her eyes and trying to regain control of her tears as she reached in and held the little boy's hand. Brandon swore when he heard what Mali had to say. "Seriously!? I thought we got rid of those guys after Chris was taken! How many more agents are they going to take!?" He shook his head, immediately signalling any agents who were on duty, and didn't have families that were sick to go after the trail, and bring Mira back. "Thanks for letting me know… hopefully we're not too late."
Antony became aware of a searing pain in his chest, and then nausea overtook him and he threw up, heaving up water and then just dry heaving even after all the water had come up. When his head stopped swimming, and he remembered everything that happened, he looked over at Chris, glaring and angry. Which was an improvement, really. He was feeling something now, when he had only felt numb and hollow before. "I'm not giving up! I'm going to see Mira… and keeping the kids from having to grow up with a mentally unstable father! This is better for everyone!" he growled.
The nurse smiled when the girl tried the cookie, looking like she had never had one before. She probably hadn't. "Good huh?" She asked, munching on her own cookie. "You're welcome. Hopefully this tides you over until that man comes back." She smiled, certain that any father or relation wouldn't just leave their child forever.
Malibu quickly got ready to go, he messaged Chris immediately as he typed in the location of her watch and found her, her vitals were low but she was alive "holy..." He got the agents ready to head.Chris punched him in the face getting him to settle down, he looked at the message "hey genius, you die and Mira won't be there...she was kidnapped the same guys that took me. So do you want to help me find your girl or feel sorry for yourself?!" He couldn't take suicide it was cowardly and it pissed him off "by the why your son is doing well, he's gaining weight and breathing on his own..."
Nimuae gave a smile at the nurse "you think he'll come back? Do you think he will keep his promise?"
The agents helped scan the area, taking out anyone who was hostile. "I think we're clear." One of them sent Malibu, who was with Mira. Then another agent came in, his feed a little fuzzier. "No… there's… there's something down here in the lower levels…" his feed cut, and a rumbling sound like thunder started up below them. Antony swore, about to turn on him, when his words stopped him in his tracks as surely as the blow did, and he sank to his knees. She was alive. She was alive and he very well could have been dead right now… she would have woken and gone through the same pain he did… and it would have been his fault. Antony dry heaved again, sick to his stomach, literally, at the thought. And when he looked up, he was no longer angry, but remorseful. "I'm sorry." he sighed, tugging at his hair in frustration, as if seeing clearly only then, as if just realizing what he almost did. "Thank you. I'm sorry… I know… I'm stupid. I'm never doing that again." he vowed, standing and trying to find his feet again.
The nurse nodded eagerly, finishing off her glass of milk. "Oh definitely!" She assured. "I think he probably just wanted some time to himself honey, he'll be back, you'll see. And once he's had some time, then he'll be able to think clearly again and spend some good time with you."
Malibu blinjed but he was in charge of getting Mira back to the jet, he swore seeing a newborn girl attached to surgical equipment her entire body metal but she was still alive "brand...she was carrying twins...they just wanted the girl...Mira is safe and untouched...but the kid, the girl...she's an experiment..." Chris sighed and helped him get dried off he handed him a shirt and gave him his phone and watch "Good thing Delaney made this water proof..." He squeezed his shoulder "Nimuae is with a nurse...trying chocolate chip cookies for the first time..."
Nimuae smiled and ftowned hearing the other nurse talk to her nurse telling her that Mira was on her way home alive and well.
Brandon swore profusely. "Alright. Bring her back, we'll see what we can do to help her." he said, shaking his head in horror at what people would do. More rumbling erupted and agents swarmed to the lower levels to contain the situation. Once the rumbling stopped, the remaining returned to report to Mali. "Robots in the lower levels. All taken care of now, but they put up quite the fight…"Antony nodded, still rather overwhelmed by all this. It was so much to take in at once… it was almost too much. "That's… that's good… I should probably talk to her…" he said, sighing softly. "I don't think we had the best first impression a little while ago." he shook his head, pocketing his phone and putting on the watch again. "Do you know if they have Mira safe yet?" He asked, worried.
The nurse beamed, glad to have such good news to relay to the small girl. "Guess what?" She said, turning to tell her what she had heard. "Your mother is just fine! She's on her way here now!" She gave her a little hug, happy for her. "And then when your father get's back your whole family will be here." She didn't know that Nimuae had only ever met Antony, and not her actual mother.
Malibu got them all on the jet and back to the hospital, he had Mira hooked up contacting Ashley to let her know that her best friend was alive and well. He got immediate medical help for the baby and sighed taking x-Rays and finding all of her bones were metal but amazingly enough it was developed that as she grows the metal bones grow with her.Chris led him to the room with Mira "they are working on your daughter...but I think she'll be ok..." He admitted and sighed going to visit Laila he needed his anchor and Keissy was watching Parker.
Nimuae swallowed nervous to meet her mom for the first time "what if...she doesn't like me? She was unconscious..." She explained the situation biting her chapped lips till they bled.
Ashley rushed to Malibu, glad to find him alright after this whole mix up and crazy development. She hugged him tightly, tucking her head against his chest. "This is all too crazy…" She whispered. "Are you alright?" she asked. "Thank you for finding her."Antony walked in, swallowing when he saw Mira. "Hi…" he said softly, amazed to see her alive… and alright. At least… he thought she was alright. "Are you doing ok?" He asked, worried, and he walked over, looking at the small girl. Twins… they had a family of three!
Laila looked up and smiled when she saw Chris. It had been getting rather lonely in the hospital room all alone, and she was glad to have some company again. "Is everything going alright?" She asked, reaching out to take his hand. "You looked tired…" She said honestly, worried for him.
The nurse smiled, walking down the hallways with her. "I'm sure she'll love you." She assured, "Mother's love their children with a passion like no other." She promised, giving her small hand a little squeeze as they came to the room and found Mira and Antony inside. "There's your mother, and see? Your father came back too." she beamed.
Malibu nodded and kissed her head rubbing her back holding her close "yeah things got a little crazy but we got her back...I just can't belive what they did to the little girl...she is completely metal..."Mira swallowed and nodded "I don't remember much...where's Kailee...where's my girl and the boy..." She said hugging him tightly she was shaking scared from everything that happened "I love you..."
Chris sighed "a lot of drama is happening...We thought Mira was dead turns out the guy that kidnapped me wanted the baby girl...and Antony tried to drown and I punched him and I really need a hug!" He explained in one long sentence.
Ashley nodded, holding onto him. He probably needed this hug just as much as she did. She was still mulling over the implications of all the changes that had come about recently, and some of it was just too much to even fathom, so she tried to just focus on Malibu. "That's insane…" she said softly. "I… that's awful…" She shook her head. "Can we go somewhere? Just take a break and visit later…? This is all too much…"Antony rolled her wheelchair carefully to the incubator, where brother and sister lay side by side, the boy looking over at his sister in interest. "They're both ok." He assured. "The boy has been growing stronger, and…" He shook his head, looking at his daughter. "They're both so precious." He said, closing his eyes as the tears welled again. He had been about to leave them both behind. He felt so sick, and so sorry.
Laila's eyes widened, surprised by all this information that just came all at once. She didn't really get all of it, but she knew now was not the time to ask and elaborate. She reached out, taking his hand and pulling him down beside her. "I missed you." She said, hugging him. She figured it would be better not to talk about all of this just yet.
Malibu nodded and grabbed their things taking her hand and leading her out back to his house. He moved her hair back and kissed her forehead "want me to order some food? Or we have more of that enchilada in the fridge...though I don't know how long it's been in there." It was insane, they were married in the last 24 hours and they hadn't had a moment to themselves.Mira reached out and stroke her boy's face seeing him for the first time, she looked up and saw the tears begining to burst as she tugged him down and held him close "Tony what is it?..." She had no idea all that had gone on when she was taken. She had no idea of the suicide or her being pronounced dead so she was very concerned he never cried...ever! "Where's Ninuae?..." She asked wondering about her young girl he promised to adopt.
Chris sighed holding her close just inhaling her scent as she held him tightly "missed you more...Parker has eaten and is glad to be home with Munchkin, you should have seen that dog pouncing on her and licking her face...it was the sweetest thing."
Ashley sighed in relief, following him back to his place, and finally able to relax again. She smiled lightly, nodding. "I am a little hungry, but there's no need to order anything new." She assured him, going to look for the enchilada in the fridge. "Unless you're feeling something else besides enchilada…." She looked over at him, wondering what he wanted. She didn't want to cause any more trouble, not after the hectic whirlwind that had been the last few hours. Antony tensed, not feeling that he deserved her worry or compassion, and he looked away, holding his face in his hands. "I…" He shook his head. "Nimuae is with the nurses, she's ok. I… I need to go apologize to her." He couldn't stop the tears, and he turned away so she wouldn't see them as he shook his head again. "You were pronounced dead, Mira…" He said softly. "And I… I lost it… I almost succeeded in drowning…" He whispered, his voice breaking.
Laila smiled gently, glad to have him back, and glad to hear that her daughter was alright, and having a good time back at home. "I'm glad she got a chance to relax and spend some time with Munchkin." She said honestly. "Hospitals are no place for kids…" She shook her head, tucking herself against him. The hospital bed was so much more comfy when he was there too. "I'm sorry, for keeping you here… and being sick at all, I know it makes life harder."
Malibu made a face "that's been there since before London I dont think it's good anymore just throw away the whole tinfoil pan." He dialed the number ordering them some pizza as he tugged her to the bed and just hekd her inhaling her sweet scene and burying his face in her hair.Mira turned him cupping his face and brushing the tears away with her thumbs "it's ok...Antony please don't cry...im alive and planning on staying that way, the twins are healthy and safe...but please dontt ever try to kill yourself again!" She had tears in her own eyes as she kissed him "go talk to her, and then come back I want to see her..."
Chris handed the books he picked up and a coloring book and box of crayons since they were all children at heart. He smoothed her hair kissibg her cheek and down her jaw "all you worry about is getting better Laila...life is life there will always be challenges and we just face them and move forward.
Ashley slid the pan out of the fridge and dumped it in the trash, shutting the fridge again. "Alright, well pizza sounds good too." She smiled brightly and leaned into him, tucking her knees up and just relaxing in his arms. "We're married…" She whispered softly, almost not able to believe it. They were an actual couple. An actual married couple. Antony looked at her, his expression clearly broken, and he thought he would see her angry with him, or disgusted. But the worry there was worse and he closed his eyes, shaking his head. "I promise." He whispered, kissing her forehead. "Never again." He wiped at his cheeks and tried to regain composure. "I'm so sorry, Mira… I am." He whispered, chewing his lip as he ducked out of the room and went to find Nimuae. "I uh…" he started when he found her. "I'm sorry about how I was behaving earlier. Your mother's apparent death was very tragic for me."
Laila smiled when he pulled out all the things he had brought, and she smoothed out a page in the colouring book, content to work on it with him. His words touched her deeply and she blushed, shaking her head as he kissed her. "That was deep." She said reverently. "and you know what? I think you're completely right… I just… I guess I make a big deal of things sometimes." She said honestly, picking up a red crayon and starting to colour.
Malibu held her close and covered her up with the blanket, he kissed down her neck and shoulder "I didn't get to tell you how beautiful you looked in your wedding dress...you did...like an angel my pretty little angel..." Nimuae looked up when he came into the door, she bit her lip and hugged him tightly burying her face in his stomach "I knew you'd keep your promise..." She whispered not caring that he had hurt her so badly he came back for her and that meant more then the world to her.
Mira watched her son and looked up at Delaney as she came in "hey...how are you feeling?...im sorry to hear about your baby...are you ever going to tell Brand that he raped you?...I renenber comforting you honey..."
Chris smiled and grabbed a blue crayon and began coloring with her "I know it's one of the things I love about you...feeling better? Your vitals look better."
Ashley smiled, leaning her head on his chest as she listened to him talk. "An angel?" She repeated, as if not believing something, and that it sounded so atrocious. "I feel like a decked out schoolgirl who's been playing pretend in her mother's closet for too long." She admitted. "This feels like it's too perfect to be real…"Antony was shocked when the small girl ran up and hugged him. He had been expecting tears, or anger, but the simple ability to forgive, and the love he found instead, touched his heart deeply and he bent and hugged her. "I want to be your father, Nimuae, would you like that?" he asked softly, holding her.
Delaney smiled lightly, coming over to see the twins. "I'm feeling better. Still a little tired, and not one hundred percent, but definitely better." She said honestly, smiling at the small babies. "They're so sweet…" She commented, and then sighed. "yeah… I know I should tell him. But… I just don't want to bring up the topic again, not after…"
Laila raised an eyebrow at him. "You love that?" She asked, not quite believing it. She shook her head, looking down at the picture and finished off colouring one section, before moving to the next. "I am feeling better. I throw up less now, which is good, and they took out the second IV. They think I can switch back to solid foods soon."
Malibu ahook his head "you aren't a decked out school girl, you are my wife and the one im keeping the rest of my life...im glad you think it's perfect because it's going to take some work...all marriage does, I was talking to Krissy about that."Nimuae nodded and held him tight the tears coming now as she just held on "don't ever let me go daddy...please?" She asked softly and swallowed "can I meet mommy?..." She asked softly wiping her nose on her sleeve since she was sniffling.
Mira nodded and sighed "I understand...I don't think I'll tell Antony what happened to me...he's already a flustered mess won't stop crying and apologizing...it scares me thinking he was going to leave Kellen and Nimuae..."
Chris beamed happy to hear that "so just one for fluids? That's great means you'll be coming home soon! Do you want to go back to Italy or find somewhere else?"
Ashley smiled, running circles and small shapes over his chest. "So Krissy's hit some bumps in the married life?" She asked, curious. "She's such a sweet kid, that girl. I don't think I've met her husband though…" She said honestly, trying to remember who he was. "David?"Antony nodded, kissing the top of her head. "I promise." he whispered, brushing her hair back from her face. "You can meet your mother right away." he promised. "And you've got two baby siblings. You can meet them too." he said, taking her hand and walking back through the hallways with her.
Delaney nodded slowly, knowing that she was in the same sort of situation. "You mean about getting kidnapped?" she asked, looking up at her. "Because I think he was already told about that. Though the whole suicide thing really is scary. At least you both are ok now." She said seriously. "And he seems to regret even thinking about it."
Laila nodded, tapping the tube in her hand. "Yeah, just for fluids." She agreed, her smile genuine. "and then I can finally leave this place and have some, hopefully relaxing time at home with you." She smiled. "Italy was nice, and I hate moving Parker around so much… but is it safe?" she inquired. "And would you like to move? because I'm up for either."
Malibu nodded "her husband is a record winning songwriter...he's always on tour and she didn't enjoy that. Daniel." He reminded and grianed closing his eyes "your killing me smalls..." He admitted kissing her hand nuzzling against his face.Nimuae held his hand and looked up at him "are you ok daddy?...you left?...I wanted to go after you but...I was scared..." She admitted and but her thumbnail and looked at her mother "she's so pretty..."
Mira sighrd "suicide...rape...being forced to watch my baby girl be turned into..." She shuddered shaking her head "it's over now...we are all safe..."
Chris sighed "I love our home but I do worry about safety...there was no trace signs of the illness at out house so we are still hidden...let's stay at the beach house awhile first make sure you both are ok..."
Ashley nodded slowly, too caught up in thinking about that to notice that she was still trailing circles over him, at least until he commented. Then she smiled lightly and paused, looking up at him. "What, you don't like this?" She asked, doing it again for a moment. She really did feel bad for Krissy's situation, but right now, he was more important.Antony nodded slowly. "I'm alright now, I'm sorry for leaving." he said seriously, looking down at her. "I promise I won't leave again. I'll always be here." He squeezed her hand. "Yes, she is… just like you." he winked. "Looks like she's busy at the moment, let's wait out here until she's done." he suggested.
Delaney shook her head slowly, shocked. "I'm so sorry that happened to you." She bit her lip. "Listen, if you need anything… I'll be here." She promised, reaching out and squeezing her hand. "And… it looks like your family is waiting at the door." She motioned towards Antony and Nimuae standing there.
Laila nodded, taking a piece of tape and sticking their picture up by her bed. Tucking her head against him and closing her eyes. "It'll be nice to see the beach house again." She agreed softly, remembering their first place. "Thank you, I don't know if I get much chance to tell you this often, but you are so good for this family. You're a good father."
Malibu pinned her down and kissed her deeply "yeah...I like it too much and you owe me Mrs. Jensen." He loved hearing his last name associated with his beautiful wife he kissed down her neck.Nimuae smiked never have felt beautiful before, the master didn't ever use positive words when he described her "really?..." She asked hopefully as she leaned more into his side waiting for her mom to be done talking.
Mira hugged her tightly @talk to Brandon and try for another baby this shoukdn't stop you, you've wanted this for so long...go to a fancy resort pour some wine and rekindle it hon." She waited till she left before motioning her husband and daughter over.
Chris smiked and pecked her forehead "we make an incredible team...love...I don't know if the doctor told you but...when you were unconscious they found...well a fetus growing...they do t think it was affected by the sickness..."
Ashley blushed, shaking her head slowly. "So eager…" She teased, happy to just enjoy this moment with him. She kissed him back and pulled him closer. "You know… this is our wedding night…" Quite a lot had happened in the last few hours, that she had almost forgotten. Antony smiled genuinely, nodding as he said. "Absolutely. You're a very pretty girl." He said seriously, walking into the room as Delaney nodded and said something to Mira, smiling and leaving. He nodded politely to her, and then walked over to Mira, kissing her gently and moving back so Nimuae could say hello to her mother.
Laila nodded enthusiastically in wholehearted agreement. "Absolutely." She paused then, her forehead wrinkling as she took in that bit of information. Then she smiled brightly. "We're having another baby?" She asked, both nervous and excited. "And the sickness didn't hurt it… right?"
Malibu smiled "then I think that we should make the mood a little more romantic don't you?" He got up and lit some candles quickly dimming the lights and pouring them both some wine "there you are my lovely wife!"Mira smiled and kissed him back before smiling at the young girl, it was like looking in a mirror almost 20 years ago "hi Nimuae...im your mother..." She said softly always thinking about this moment but now that it was here...she was a little loss for words. She wanted to be such a good mother but the role was now a little more intimidating with three.
Chris shook his head "healthy little girl..." He assured and dug in her file till he found the sonogram pictures "all limbs and everything working right...doctors are saying it's a miracle...since it attacked you so badly..." He admitted kissing her hair "I wanted to tell you earlier but you weren't feeling as well..."
Ashley nodded, excitement lighting in her eyes. "Oh yes. That would be nice." she sat up and watched as he transformed the room in a few minutes and she shook her head, accepting the glass and taking a sip from it. "Miraculous. That was like… a minute… and you transformed the whole room." Nimuae beheld the woman on the bed in nervous anticipation, and her large eyes didn't miss a thing. She knew this was her mother. As she looked like a kinder, happier version of herself. And suddenly all she felt was relief to be home. She crawled up on the bed and hugged Mira, tucking her head on her shoulder. "I love you." She whispered softly.
Laila sighed in relief, glad that the child did not have to suffer any consequences of that doctor's antics. She turned and looked at the images, and her heart melted. "Oh isn't that precious…" She whispered. "Healthy and perfect in every way." She leaned her head on his shoulder, her hand resting on her still flat stomach. "I don't know whether to be thrilled, or already mourning the loss of my only recently flattened stomach." She joked.
Malibu chuckked and clinked his glass with her as he sat by her "it bodes well that speed impresses you..." He teased and kissed her lips softlg "Mmm I love you..." He admitted cupping her neck behind her hair and lacing his fingers in.Mira started to cry as she held the girl close to her chest kissing and rubbing her back "my little Nimuae..." She remembered when she was born she was curled up the broom closet trying to conceal her screams so the master wouldn't hear as she just held her close alone and scared until she was caught and she fought with everything she had giving her to a nearby villager "it was the hardest thing giving you up..."
Chris chuckled "recently is seven years? That's amazing...your time zone is clearly off then mine..." He teased back and kissed her temple "im excited...she's a littke miracle and her and Faith can be best friends..." He reminded kissing her belly "hello little one its daddy..."
Ashley laughed softly, shaking her head. "Are you trying to impress me, Mr. Jensen?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. But she was silenced by his kiss and she relaxed into it, drawing herself closer.Nimuae found a new sensation stirring in her. A painful happy one that she hadn't felt before, and she found herself crying and clutching her mother tightly. "I dreamed that I had a real mother… sometimes at night. I thought she would be pretty, just like you." she whispered, hiding her face against her, not wanting anyone to see her cry. "I knew you would find me."
Laila shot him a playful glare and shook her head. "Oh don't make fun. You get to keep a nice body all the time. What do you have to complain about?" She teased, looking down at her stomach as he talked to it. "Well… I can't feel her yet, but I'm sure she's happy to hear you…" She said, smiling softly. "Parker will probably like having a sibling as well."
Malibu had her lying on the bed, he leaned into her lovingly and protectively smiling down at her pushing her hair back as they had a night of romance not rushed passionate slow and beautiful getting to know eachother even more a perfect wedding night.Mira stroke her long dark hair and kissed her cheek drying the tears "I'll always find you...your my Nimuae..." She smiled "you know where your name came from?" She situated her so she was sitting on her lap listening "it means little bird...and I always associated birds with freedom they could go everywhere and sing just as they pleased I wanted that for you...I wanted you to never go through what I did..."
Grace smiled over at Antony who was awkwardly standing and watching "do you want to hold the babies? They need to be fed and Mira's...not up to breast feeding..." She led him to the incubatir where they were peavefully laying awake watching everything "that's Kailee and that's Kellan..."
Chris nodded "I was going to have you tell her, and if you recall I was a fat kid I had my moments of bad body image and I worked hard to keep it off, still do!" He insisted ticking her "and you are adorable when you are pregnant, I love it...I love you whether you got fat or super skinny as long as your happy and healthy that's all I cate about....please don't ever go blonde thoghh." He added hastily.
Ashley had never loved Malibu more than she did that night, and in the morning, when she woke in his arms, she felt perfectly relaxed and at home, despite the stressful couple of hours that the day before had been. "I'll get up and make breakfast." She whispered, pecking his nose. "You stay in bed."Nimuae sat up and listened in rapt attention. She shook her head when she asked where her name came from. She didn't know. At least not until her mother explained it. Little bird. What a wonderful name. It sounded enchanting in its description. She had wings… and could fly where she wanted. "You set me free, when you came and killed the master… and all the other girls." She whispered, smiling tentatively.
Antony smiled, glad for something to do, and he followed Grace to the incubator where he reached in, holding his daughter's tiny hand. "They're so small…" he shook his head. "Where's the bottles? How do I feed them?" he asked, not wanting to do anything wrong. These were his babies after all.
Laila laughed lightly, shaking her head. "Alright, alright, I stand corrected. But still. You have a nice body right now, and you can maintain it." She leaned on his shoulder. He liked her pregnant, and something about that comment made her smile. Because if he liked her pregnant, then maybe being pregnant wasn't so bad after all. "Blonde, hm?" She asked, fingering a strand of her shoulder length dark hair. "I was actually thinking about white. And chopping it all off again." She teased.
Malibu smiled and tugged her by her waist back into his arms and held her close kissing her neck "Mmm not yet...just stay and sleep..."he moaned rubbing her side "we never get to sleep in...it's time to relax..."Mira snuggled her close "im sorry that he hurt you...I love you and I won't let anything else hurt you Nim...we will get a house and you can have your own room and go to school just like a normal girl...and when you can get older you can have your first tattoo...how about that?"
Grace smiled and positioned the girl in his arms and gave him the bottle to drink "there you go just like when you are feeding your son...oh look she's smiling at you...she knows you!" She praised happy to see the girl respond for the first time.
Chris blinkef and looked at her "please dont joke about that...id still love you but I'd buy you many hats..." He said seriously and held her close "I love you...can I get you anything?"
Ashley laughed softly, settling back down beside him. "Alright then love, breakfast can wait." She shook her head, amused. "Keeping me captive, are you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She secretly didn't mind one bit. Not with him kissing her neck like that. Nimuae nodded, not wanting to think of the master and the things he did. Her mother already knew what had happened if she had been through the same things. "It's ok." She said softly. "It's not happening anymore." She swallowed. "Normal school?" She repeated softly, nervous. She had never been around any kids other than the girls in the masters place. "Like to learn things?" She said softly. "I... I like tattoos... But... But school sounds..." She didn't know what word to use. Different... Strange.... Scary....
Antony looked down at the tiny bundle in his arms and he carefully held it, moving the bottle so she could suck on it. His heart warmed when he saw that smile and he started smiling too. "Hey baby girl." He whispered, holding the bottle for her. "You hungry? It's nice to meet you. I'm your father." He looked over at Grace, smiling. "Thank you."
Laila burst into a fit of laughing and she shook her head. "What do you have against blondes? I had short hair when I met you if you recal." She reminded, leaning against him. She loved that he accepted her no matter what. "I think I'm alright for now as long as I've got you."
Malibu chuvkled and nipped her "yes, I'm going to go make us some romantic chocolate chip waffles with strawberries." He kissed her and got up pulling on his boxers and getting the mixture mixed up and smiling over at her "you are the sexiest wife a man could have..."Mira hugged her close "you'll love school, it's fun you get to learn and read and make friends...I promise you'll have fun and no one will know about your past...don't be scared I loved school honey...and your daddy loved school..."
Grace nodded and smiled "of course, im glad to help its a miracle they are here...and they are the cutest little ones. I'm glad you didn't kill yourself...I was worried for Kellen he needs a stable home...they both will be really little but your wife is littke so...im blabbering...how would you like Mira to tell you that she was pregnant? Surprise or...what?"
Chris smiled "they are too predictable and I love your hair short long whatever you choose...just not blonde..."
Ashley laughed and slipped on his shirt, following him in the kitchen where se started to pull out and gather ingredients they may need from the drawers and cupboards. "Chocolate is like my biggest weakness." She shook her head. "And you are the most handsome man I could have ever hoped for." She kissed his cheek.Nimuae nodded slowly, contemplating that. If her parents had loved school and survived it, then maybe she could too. "Alright." She said softly, curling up beside her mother in the bed. "Will I have to be there all day? Or will I get to see you sometimes too?" She asked, not sure how school or life really, worked.
Antony smiled down at his little babies as they drank and he rocked them slowly, so in love. "I'm glad I didn't die too." He whispered, knowing that that would have been a horribly tragic event, and he was super relieved that it had not happened. He hated to even think about it. So he thought of how Mira broke the news of the babies to him through a tattoo. "It was quite the surprise." He agreed softly, shaking his head.
Laila laughed, amused. "Alright fine. Are you callinim me unpredictable? Is that a good thing?" She raised her eyebrow, as if daring him to say that it wasn't. "I should really dye your hair blonde sometime as a prank..." She mused, a devilish smile crawling across her face.
Malibu flushed and mixed in the ingredients humming to himself "well if you were a lesbian you'd probably think Laila was the most gorgeous woman." He chucked pecking her cheek "Brandon have us a week vacation, I dont know what we will do for that long..."Mira stroke her hair back "only until two and then you come home and work on homework and help me cook dinner or whatever else you want to do love...it won't be all day I'd miss you too much!"
Grace smiled "well im...and my boyfriend and I don't really want kids...well we've never talked about it and I don't know how to tell him..."
Chris blanched "please please don't touch my hair...I am predicable this is what works for me...and you are adorably unpredictable it whsts makes us the perfect team."
Ashley laughed, shaking her head. "Well I'm not lesbian... And you are not Laila and Laila is not you. Sure... You look alike, but I didn't just marry you for your body mister..." She teased, starting up the grill to fry the pancakes. "I love you deeply, I hope you know that. And I've got plenty of ideas about how we can spend our time." She winked.Nimuae smiled then, genuinely happy. She got to go to school with other kids to learn, then she got to come home and spend time with her family. "I can't wait..." She said honestly. She was tired from being up for over twenty four hours now, so her words dissolved into a yawn and she fell asleep against her mother.
Antony's smile turned thoughtful. "Congrats!" He said, looking up at her. "You could slide it in during a conversation, just don't make it too subtle, if he's not expecting it, he'll probably think you're joking or not even get it at all." He said seriously. "He'll be thrilled either way, so don't stress, just be honest." He smiled.
Laila raised her hands in surrender. "Ok ok! I won't touch the hair." She promised, reaching out to run her fingers through it gently. "I like it like this anyways." She winked at him. "I got to keep you on your toes somehow though right? Wouldn't want life to get too boring..." She smiled.
Malibu chuckled and got the batter on the grill as he made hearts and initials "you know what I've always wanted to do? That fancy pancake art, that uses different colored batters and things...I think I'd feel pretty accomplished if I could do a self portrait and eat it."Mira smiled and stroke her hair just snuggling close, she smiled over at Antony motioning him over and smiling as he talked to Grace "she is an amazing nurse...keep telling her to be a doctor, so guess what? Ashley said I could do a tattoo since I died and all..."
Grace nodded and went to talk to Josh "so that was pretty dang sexy when you tackled the doctor and saved the day...very 007. You are back in the game...and to celebrate...um well im...well im pre-proud proud of you..." She bit her lip not being able to say it, it was so embarrassing they were still young way too young for kids.
Ashley came over to watch as he started designing fancy swirls and thinks in the pancake batter and she shook her head. "You're quite the talented artist." She commented, getting out some dyes for him. "These are just red blue and yellow, but you could try adding them to the batter." She offered, wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning her head against his back.Antony nodded, coming over to see his love again, putting the twins back to sleep first. "She is quite the nurse." He agreed. "Definitely capable enough to be a doctor in the agency." He smiled, coming to sit by her. "I'm shocked Ashley actually said yes though... I never thought she'd go through with it." He pecked her cheek. "You must be pretty persuasive when you're dead, love." He teased.
Josh chuckled softly, blowing at imaginary guns and putting them into his belt. "I'm just doing my job..." He smiled and kissed her, pulling her into the cafeteria with him where he bought them a sunday to share. He smiled at her. "But something seems to be troubling you. You ok?"
Malibu chucjled making the colors and doing animals and flowers for her "not really...just like to have fun, Mira would be an amazing pancake artist...how is she doing? She doesn't talk about...it...and well I saw the condition she was in...its im thing to be hurt physically but...her eyelids were seen open so she couldn't look away from her daughter...it's wrong..."Mira held him close and sighed "im sorry I scared you so badly...I never...in a million years want to leave you...I don't remember leaving the hospital...just waking up in the morgue bag...then the rest...I just want to leave HQ...for good..."
Grace looked up from the ice cream "I've been craving cheese puffs I've gained 5 pounds...so I took a test in the bathroom and it was positive...next thing I know Mira's uterus ruptured and all that drama happened and I...didn't tell you..."
Ashley smiled, watching the batter sizzle and cook in the pan. "Mira's recovering. As you said it was quite the ordeal for her. Last I heard, she's just happy to have her family back again. They're taking in Nimuae. You know… her long lost daughter? I think it's so sweet." she said honestly. "And to have twins? It's like going from no kids to three in a couple days. Must be crazy for them."Antony nodded, staying quiet. He hated to think of all that had happened, and just wanted to move on. To forget, and raise a family with her. He kissed her cheek. "As soon as the twins and you are released from the hospital, let's go buy a small house and move there… just put this all behind us."
Josh raised an eyebrow, trying to put all of that together. And when he did, both his eyebrows raised in surprise. "Wait… so there's pounds and uteruses and something about drama… but did I hear you were positive in a pregnancy test?" He asked, his heart pounding nervous and shocked and a bit excited as well. Was she pregnant? Was that him!? Were they having a kid!?
Malibu nodded and smiled "indeed, they'll need all the help they can get...but I think she is quitting the agency and just going to work at the parlor...speaking of which I heard a rumor you are going to get inked?" He raised a brow at her it didn't seem like something his wife would do.Mira nodded and pecked his lips "a bigger house...each of them need their own room...so that's a four bedroom house...and then it has to be close to the parlor im lucky my friend Ginger took it over while we were dealing with all this..."
Grace nodded biting her lip "that would be the one...I haven't been to the doctor yet there hasn't been time...and then I was scared telling you I mean we've kept this so casual...a kid would change everything!"
Chris smiled and lifted her off her mother "let's go home and see Munchkin and let mommy rest ok? We'll see her later and she'll be stronger ok honey?" He assured kissibg her hair "momny will get better soon..." He let her go and kissed Laila "can I bring you anything from home?..."
Mai nodded in agreement helping him in and setting him down on the couch, shoes off and wrapped in a blanket "thai soubds great and we can watch movies till we fall asleep..." She kissed his head "you let me know what you need don't be prideful..."
Nimuae was overjoyed to see him awake, but it was short lived. He wasn't responding and she held back the tears again the master making her stoic as she softly read to him or sang softly in Japanese songs her adoptive parents used to sing. She felt lonely and scared but wasn't one to feel sorry for herself though she had every right to.
