Amanda, try What Alice Forgot. It was the first Moriaty book I read and I really liked it but then ended up loving this one, even more!

I have to agree with you (view spoiler)[ I was so glad when I found out it was Perry that was killed!! I also was thinking Celeste wasn't going to go through with it but I think finding out that he was really "Saxon" kind of pushed her over the edge.
Renata did redeem herself and you could see that she knew she had a problem in general when she apologized to Madeline for her outburst over the car incident. (hide spoiler)]

Yes, do not read the spoilers! They will definitely ruin the ending. Some of the spoilers are labeled as being before the chapter you're on, so those would be ok. But, the ones from people that finished the book would definitely give away the ending and it is so good. You definitely do not want it spoiled.

I think you could almost constitute it as rape. She sort of felt like she had to go through with it when he was being mean. We didn't do enough of this, we talked too much, we didn't talk enough, we smothered, we didn't give enough attention. I don't know if it is society that does this to us or what.
I've been trying to teach my daughter that she can do for herself, she should get an education and not be dependent on a man or anyone else. I feel like this was the best thing my Mom ever did for me. When you have an education - you can tell what ever male is in your life that you will be just fine without them and you're not dependent on them and you don't have to put up with whatever crap they want to throw at you. Obviously, all men aren't like the men in this book.

I just started this last night. I'm to Chapter 10.

I really like this book so far: the characters, the writing style, the story line. It really reminds me a little of Desperate Housewives. I didn't realize that not many people "cast" the characters until we discussed it in Lies of Locke Lemora. I tend to assign actors to the characters. Does anyone have a specific picture in their heads on what the characters look like?

I was finally able to start this today and am about 10% in so far!

I am cackling at this book constantly so far, being a new parent myself. I am part of a mom's club and find all the stereotypes hysterical XD I just keep imagining what it will be like when my kiddo grows up. I'm a "career mom", but also a giant kid at heart still, so I don't know how I would fit into this scenario. It's still hilarious though. Cannot wait to find out more :D

Oh bummer, Sarah, hate when that happens. I think I may have accidentally spoiled Gone Girl for myself in a similar way (not sure, haven't read it yet). What works the best for me is putting the "spoiled" book aside for a little while and read something different. And when I come back to it I don't feel as bitter and am able to focus on the book and not the fact that "I know how it ends". If I'm lucky I might even forget what the spoiler was, but that doesn't happen too often :) Hope that makes sense.

I did that (thought I had ruined the ending) with one of the spoilers too, but it wasn't an ending spoiler, it was someone's thoughts on what happened to someone, which wasn't even accurate. Can't say more on that without giving something away. I will say that there are a couple twists at the end and even if I had known who died, I would have been glad that I finished it.

I think you should still finish it. Like Kristie said - some of the spoilers are what people were thinking - it might not be what actually happened.
