SOLVED. Children's book from the 90's (I would say fourth grade and up) where a girl and her family move to an island. [s]

-There was a mom, dad two girls and a boy
-It was in America
-The oldest girl made friends with a boy who had a secret
-The boy's little brother had died and he blames himself
-The girl's siblings I can't remember which one hurts themselves badly on an electric saw or something. The boy jumps in and helps.

Think Block Island, or the Channel Islands. People live there but take a ferry to the main land for school, work, shopping, medical, etc...

Catalina. The other islands are not inhabitable but you can visit them. One has wild horses.
