The series starts out with the main character is a doctor that becomes lost in space. She goes into suspended animation and keeps trying to get back to her daughter. From there she and her daughters decendents become involved in a military plot. I remember that this was a series of books that was combined into one.

I think Lunzie also is a character (though not a main character) in Dinosaur Planet and Dinosaur Planet Survivors. It's been a REALLY long time since I've read them, so I don't remember exactly how big her role was was but she's in there!
