Vian (vianvamp) | 363 comments Sorry, I’ve been so quiet. I’ve been out of town, but I’m heading home tomorrow.

I should be able to finish 1 or 2 more books before Sunday.

Eldarwen | 13730 comments Mod
Sounds good, ladies! :-)

message 905: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 247 comments Hey guys! Sorry I have been quiet this week. I have been dealing with a migraine since last Friday. I’ve been reading when I can and going back and forth between the hard copy and kindle version of The Tommyknockers. Unfortunately my eyes and head could not handle it. It has like 992 pages and I am on 450 so I’m not sure I will finish it by the end of the week. I can switch to a shorter book and finish this later in the challenge if you need me to finish a book for this week.

message 906: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13730 comments Mod
Hey Melissa!

Eurgh, that sucks!! Migraines are such a pain, honestly...
I'm not going to say no to you switching to a shorter book that you can finish before Sunday but if you prefer to just stay with your book, then that's fine as well. Basically, just do whatever works best for you especially with the headache probably still lingering. And stay away from the kindle - the screen's poison for headaches. :-)

message 907: by Bookworm_gem (new)

Bookworm_gem (gembear) | 313 comments hi all, i really doubt i'll finish my book by Sunday but does mean i should have 2 for next week.

message 908: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13730 comments Mod
Ok, thanks for letting us know!

message 909: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 247 comments I can read Dead to the World. I usually fly through her books and it spells “wrath” in the title. I’ll pick up on tommyknockers when I finish it.

message 910: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13730 comments Mod
Awesome!

Those really are pretty fast reads. :-)

message 911: by Melissa (last edited Nov 01, 2019 05:16AM) (new)

Melissa | 247 comments Or is Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse, #4) by Charlaine Harris a sin bingo?

Red cover, top shelf guilty pleasures, and book you lust after

message 912: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13730 comments Mod
Ah yes, that could definitely work as a sin bingo book then!

message 913: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 8536 comments Take care Melissa. Migraines are horrible. Used to have them, but thankfully not any more.

message 914: by Stacie (new)

Reminder

For the second part of the Lust mini, i.e. the reading of the bad books, please keep in mind this particular rule:

◈ Only books started on or after 4th November and finished by 2nd December will count for Part Two the Lust mini challenge (i.e. books started and finished between weeks 5 - 8).

So anything you start now and finish next week we can use for the first part of the mini which is the story, but if you wanted to pick up one or the other of the bad books from the recommendations thread, they can only be started as of tomorrow, the 4th November.
